Parallel Quest 09 - Saiyan Pride Z Rank

Trying to get Z rank on this is killing me; I must have attempted it over a hundred times by now. It's the one with Krillin and Kid Gohan, and once you beat them, Goku arrives. Beat Goku and sometimes you'll go into another battle with him in Kaioken mode. The other "Secret objective" in this quest is to keep Vegeta's health over 50% and damn, I hate missions where you have to guard an NPC. Even moreso when they've given this Kaioken Goku infinite stamina (so he can permanently maintain Kaioken mode for the fight), but he ends up spamming explosive wave, slowly but surely knocking Vegeta down to less than 50%.

Anyway, I've done everything I can do. My best attempt had me defeat Krillin, Gohan, Goku and Kaioken Goku all with my ultimate move within 3 minutes, while also keeping Vegeta's health around 80%. Still nada. Any tips? I'm level 45 right now, but I've been attempting Z rank on this from time to time since around level 30, and I feel like the levels barely help. All I can think of is to leave it and try again when I'm level 80, but I have a feeling I'll still be stuck.

3 grabs, 3 just guards, 3 guard breaks, 20 ki blast hits, 20 ki blast deflects, playing alone without NPCs, 3-5 super finishes, 3-5 ultimate finishes, ultimate finish on last enemy, kill last enemy with SSJ or Kaioken on, 80% or more health, collect 5 materials, 20, 50 or 100 hit combo, 80% accuracy, 5 evasive moves, 5 ultimates. Try getting a lot of these.

Yeah I'm finding it pretty hard to get the Z rank for that too, might be a bug. Be interested to know if anyone's managed to get it.

have you recruited other players? they tend to help since the ai is ♥♥♥♥ at protecting people.

I could do that. Question though; how much does completion speed actually affect the score? I've always thought being quick helps, but I've got Z-rank in other missions while I was going REAL slow, and was surprised I got a Z rank for it.

Nope, I tend to play offline as the servers keep disconnecting me. I've thought about trying that too, so hopefully if the server starts working properly, I could.

My level 80 character is unable to get the Z rank on this one. The explosive wave spam screws me over; but then again later PQs have them spamming their ulitmates making them even more difficult to just plain defeat.

Going to try this. I can't get Z rank either.

I did. It was a pain though. Pro tip: Deathball does many, many hits. Spamming it as a super saiyan lets you get combo fiend (50 hits) or Combo King (100 hits) depending on how much damage you do. It stunlocks the enemy so you can cast it over and over again as part of a continous combo, and it makes you invincible while you cast it, so you can easily get untoucheable if you charge up your ki high before getting hit by krillin or gohan.

I pulled it off eventually. I was real surprised because I didn't do anything different to usual, and it was actually one of my worst attempts. Even Vegeta was near-death. I got it again while helping someone online, but at this point I was a much higher level. I killed Kaioken Goku with 2 ultimates.

Why would you want to Z rank on low levels? Of course I was pretty high level at that point, thats why I don't understand your struggle if you can just level up and beat it when you are able to

I'm the type of person that likes to get 100% on things as I go along, so when I posted this, I didn't have any PQs past 4 stars. As I said in my original post, levelling up might have helped (and now that I'm a high level, it's clear it would have), but I still preferred doing it as I did, when I was around level 45ish. It would have bugged me to leave a single quest as S rank surrounded by Z ranks.
