Xbox controller, showing wrong buttons in game
I am using an Xbox controller, but in game it is showing generic numbers for the button names instead of the Xbox button icons. Does anyone know how to fix this? Learning the controls is rather challenging this way.

I have the same problem, sometimes the xbox buttons shows at times, then the next time I open DBX, the game shows the keyboard buttons no matter how many times I restart the game and unplug and plug the xbox controller without know how I could even fix the problem,

If you use controller companion it may be that. It was screwing up my MGS: Phantom Pain button assignments and I had to turn it off.

Thanks for your reply! Yes, I've read in other topics, that this could solve similar problems, but it seems, that I've been dumber than usual...
I have two Logitech Rumble Gamepad F510 connected to the PC, and i've forgotten to set both of them to xinput (just set the one I've planned to play with :) ). For those who are having similar issues, I think it's worth a shot to check all connected devices input type and maybe disconnet the ones, that are not capable of working in xinput.

I use a steam controller (no other controllers are hooked up to my PC, no additional software being used) and I'm having a similar issue. It's switching to Numbers (I'm guessing those represent the #'s of the buttons) until I hit right or left trigger, then it switches to Xbox prompts. When I hit any button after that though, it goes back to #'s. I'm using a steam controller, so the input should be coming across as an Xbox controller. Anybody have any ideas on how to fix this?
