save file gone
had a save file....game crashed....i restarted and now its making me replay from the beginning? where is my old save? what happened?

edit- happened twice in a row

edit 2 - nothing is working, I reinstalled steam and the game to no results.

Im trying to contact bandai namco's support at their website, but I have no idea how. How and who do I contact to figure this out ?

TEMPORARY SOLUTION UNTIL FIXED BY THE DEVS *IF EVER* This only works if you already have 323470 in your folder (if deleting remote doesnt work, try deleting the ENTIRE folder).

Here's how I believe I fixed the same issue. I went into DBXV properties in steam and turned OFF steam cloud service, then I went to the folder where the save is and DELETED the "remote" folder completely. "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\#########\323470\remote" Once I launched the game it said there was no save file and asked if I wanted to create one. Click yes and the auto save icon starts to display while I was playing. quit game and reloaded and my character was still there. All in all I lost about 4-5 characters trying to get this figured out.

Hmmm. Steam saves it in the cloud, so it should restore it.

In fact, steam doesnt keep our saves. I have 2 laptops (A & B). First I played on A, and finished mission 1. Then I tried to play on B, I had to restart from the new character...

Steam cloud provisioning has expanded from 1 MB per user to 100 MB per user, per game. The Steam Cloud API allows your game to write and retrieve files for each user. Use it for personalized settings like keyboard, mouse, and gamepad configurations, multiplayer sprays, or even saved games. Steam Cloud is a natural extension of the portability that Steam affords gamers. Shipped first with Left 4 Dead, Steam Cloud is now a proven resource and is becoming an integral part of the Steam experience.

Hi , the first save file probably got corrupted by the crash, maybe it uploaded to the cloud in that state. You say your second save is gone again, did you crash again?

No, I just now cleared past the first real quest fighting radditz, and decided before i go further I will restart to make sure this didn't happen again.

But when I restarted I was back to fighting freiza as goku

Assuming you are ok with never getting the first save back, you could try to delete anything save related: Close steam. Look for the steam folder:

Steam/userdata/xxxx/323470 (xxxx will be your user ID)

There is a remote folder with the savefile inside, you can try to delete it and after that launch steam and the game again it should download the cloud savefile. If you are at the same point, just delete the Save file again and try the usual "Verify integrity of game cache" on steam. This is very basic help but you never know something might have gone wrong with your game files. Sorry if it doesn't help.
