No, I just now cleared past the first real quest fighting radditz, and decided before i go further I will restart to make sure this didn't happen again.
But when I restarted I was back to fighting freiza as goku

There is a remote folder with the savefile inside, you can try to delete it and after that launch steam and the game again it should download the cloud savefile. If you are at the same point, just delete the Save file again and try the usual "Verify integrity of game cache" on steam. This is very basic help but you never know something might have gone wrong with your game files. Sorry if it doesn't help.
