As far as I can tell, Z is the highest rank. Ranging from something like D, C, B, A, S, Z. It's a grade.

Its all about how high you score on a quest. From what i know, the lowest I have seen is C then its just goes up the better you do. C-B-A-S-Z. As far as meanings go Rank "S" Has been used in games before that are above rank "A", However Ranks "Z" mostlikly refers to the "Z-fighters" In dragonball z. Just a rank, but hey thats my thinking.

Im having some issues atm on Saibamen’s Revenge even using 3x vegeta ss4 keep getting s :( need more practise

It goes down to D, I've gotten lag problems that have caused me to be stuck in place and unable to finish the extra part of a parallel mission (such as defeating kaioken'd up goku in Saiyan Pride). The end result is that he beats the ♥♥♥♥ out of vegeta because I can't move, and the npcs have moved out of my line of sight/line of fire, so I can't participate and lose the extra bit. But because I succeeded the basic mission, I still get a mission complete and a D ranking.

If might go as low as E, but I'm not sure how you could manage to get a rank that low.

Z is better than S.

For me to achieve Z over S score on 11.Entrance Ginyu Exam I HAD TO ultimate attack K.O Burter, Jeice, Recoome and GInyu and I had to do it, also you cannot get too low of health and have your mentor join either.
I would assume these could possibly be the circumstances for all of the Z scores, ultimate finish all Main enemies, and mentor does not join, that is only speculation.
