Can't see Ki Effects in 4K

Have my resolution at my monitor's standard setting and now I can't see things like the Ki blast effects. Is there a fix?

^ Big ups to rebel. I turned on adaptive v-sync in the Nvidia Control Panel, locked the frame cap to 60 and left in-game v-sync off. That brought the effects back for me.
