Races by tiers

A group of 6 streamers has tried to classify races by tiers. After long debate and such, here comes there ranking.

I would like to add that they might be wrong, this is just what they think by no mean this is plain truth. This is more a base in order to make your own idea.

Their have classified races in 3 tiers and within each tier the race that comes first is more potent that the race that comes second etc.

Overall rating:

Tier 1

-Male Majin
-Freeza clan

Tier 2

-Male Saiyan
-Female Majin
-Female Saiyan

Tier 3
-Male Earthling
-Female Earthling
-Namekian

Close combat and strike CAC rating:

Tier 1

-Male Saiyan
-Freeza Clan

Tier 2

-Male Earthling
-Male Majin
-Namekian

Tier 3
-Female Majin
-Female Saiyan
-Female Earthling


Ranged ki CAC rating

Tier 1

-Male Majin
-Freeza Race
-Female Majin

Tier 2

-Female Saiyan
-Female Earthling
-Male Earthling

Tier 3

-Male Saiyan
-Namekian


What do they took in concideration?

The racial bonus thatcan't be caught up with stats point:

-Male/F Majin: Defense bonus
-M Saiyan: Low life dps boost+flat strike bonus
-F Saiyan: Low life dps boost+ flat ki strike bonus
-Namekian: Regen
-Freeza clan: Flat speed bonus+ speed boost when 50% of life is lost
-M/F Earthling: KI regen+overall boost damage.

Then they took the list of exclusive abilities per race:

-M/F saiyan: Exclusive strike based super+exclusive transformation
-M/F Maijin: Exclusive escape moves, exclusive ki abilities, exclusive strike abilities and exclusive crowd controls (ae chocolate transformation, etc...)
-Namekian: They can use 2 of the Majin's abilities and one exclusive ki strike
-Freeza: exclusives in both ki and strike abilities
-M/F earthlings: No exclusives reported (yet)


So What's your opinion, based on what you know/have seen?

In my opinion i concider this with caution but as far as i know it sounds... Plausible.

What i think of this ? thats it baloney theory

Too much stuff factors into play to be relevant in practice.

ive always hated chart like these, they tend to indirectly make people go for whats considered "best" and oftentime, that makes the "worst" character not get as much play time, reducing theire meta-game while the "good" guys keeps getting played, developping theire meta-game more and thus, creating a self-reinforcing cycle.

A good example is in smash bros melee when a group of people too kthe time to play more of the "crappier" character and developped theire metagame so much it made the character jump forward multiple tiers.

Anyway, i have a burning hatred for charts like those and feel like that thing you posted is just baloney

not surprised if early adopters got caught up with majins and friezas as the top tiers, but I'm sure even if that results as truth it will change along with the game, as people's way of playing change while online...

Personally, I think all of the streamers (with the small exception being Fuji) are ♥♥♥♥. With that out of the way, given that I have no idea what each race exclusive moves are (save for Frieza's stun blast), here's my take on thier list:

I get that the Frieza race have a loop combo, but having them as tier 1 close combat seem kind of odd to me considering they have low attack power. If anything, that slot should be shared with Male Majin and possibly Namekian. Female Saiyans are a definite tier 2.

Don't get why Male Majins are #1 for ki. Being slow moving and crap stamina and all, Male Majins should have the hardest time dodging projectiles, making them tier 3. Saiyans being perfect spammers and all gives them the rightful spot at tier 1. Earthling not fallen far behind with their better ki recovery. Not sure about Frieza though. If speed play that well a part in ki then I guess they're in their rightful spot. If not, meh?

Going by their overall score and without my input, Frieza race is easily number 1 followed by Male Majin at Tier 1. Tier 2 consist of Male Saiyan, Female Majin, Male Earthlings. Lastly, Tier 3 belongs to Female Saiyan, Female Earthling, and last, Namekian. What I placed is all in order and kind of a tweek from theirs, not really changing much.

Again, I believe my opinion to be pretty invalid, but just as much as theirs.

The tier list is a suprise to me, I figured Namekians and Humans would be at top tier due to stamina being extremely important, Namekian's 'pokes' with the strech arm, and the overall attack boost for humans is strong with an attack focused build.

Although I suppose clan/majin exclusive abilities are harder to deal with. Speed boost is solid to.

Based on what I've heard and seen, Tiers are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. It all depends on the player and how they play.

-Namekians are very bulky and focus on recovery, which is why I will be playing one first!
-Changelings are very speedy.. Pretty damn brutal, but they tend to be glassy. Very badass in apperance, deadly in combat
-Saiyans, very defeatist in style with their main advantage taking up an Ultimate slot and screwing them over in the end.
-Earthlings have the Auto-Ki recovery and balanced stats, personally like their perks more then Sayians.. If only they had SSj ;(
-Majin's are very defensive and females look badass

Personally, I like tier list, especially when there's an explanation involved. Smash Bros tiers always run by the chances 1 character have against another. The best part is that it's not set in stone, ready to change by player performance.

If the majority of pro players succeed with male majin then so be it. Male Majin is the best, for now. If this game last longer than, say, a year, that might change. ONLY Problem with that happening is that each character have damn near the same move so it should be way easier to figure out which class is greater.

Stamina isn't that important since escape moves and ultimate escape moves use ki. That's why kaioken is such a great skill to be used. As a future main ki user, i won't give a damn to stamina... Especially when majin have a teleport back+sleep ultimate escape move.

majins get more defense with a full gauge of stamina. with 0 stamina, all he has to do is rush you down and you won't be able to defend yourself because you can't block.

Precisely. A short stamina bar refils to its max faster. The Majin perk is triggered when the bar is full and i've seen nowhere said that a bigger bar gives the biggest defence bonus.
