Raiden IV: OverKill

Raiden IV: OverKill

1920x1080 Resolution is Bugged
When I start in fullscreen at 1920x1080, I can only see the top left part of the screen.

What gives? Is there a way to fix this? :curiousboy:

Please help. I wanna play my shmups.

I found the fix in another thread. Go to your Steam Applications folder (Default is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common) and go in to the folder for Raiden, right click the game.exe file and choose Properties. Go to Compatibility tab. Click button labelled "Change high DPI settings". Check the box for "Override high DPI scaling behavior". Set the Scaling performed by drop down to Application. Click OK and previous OK buttons. Start the game.

I figured that would work, but I refunded the game before I thought to try it. :cozyspaceengineersa:

That is the same source I read. Now windows 10 lateset update removed that exact option.
Its so confusing what those scaling options really mean now. It seems like it wants to resize down the screen. .
The option is still there. https://imgur.com/VLEk0HS

I tried this and still the biggest resolution I can choose in-game is 1024 x 768 while my monitor is 1680 x 1050.
Does anyone have other ideas I should try. I have turned off scaling in the nvidia control panel and in windows settings everything seems to be default and 100% scaling settings.

I'm not 100% sure which setting you mean exactly (non-english language windows 10 version here) but I have every scaling option that I can find to either 100% or turned off in the settings.

But I found this info for Raiden IV:
Supported Resolutions
[16:9] 854x480, 1024x576, 1280x720, 1920x1080
[4:3] 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768
[3:4] 480x640, 600x800, 768x1024

So 1680 x 1050 isn't possible I guess but still I don't know why it scales to fullscreen and not 1024 x 768 with black borders which would be the next best thing. As I have "override scaling by programs" turned off in the nvidia control panel AND that "Override high DPI scaling behaviour" check box checked.

Right Click Desktop
Display Settings
Turn off Custom Scaling and Sign Out.

Thanks, it's off.

But honestly, Raiden IV is somehow messed up now from trying different settings I guess.
It will only display in a weird scaled window and nothing changes it. I can't even select full-screen in the settings. it's greyed out (full-screen, I can't select it).
I even uninstalled and re-installed the game twice but it seems to remember it's messed up. Maybe there are some local files I have to delete after uninstalling..I don't know where.

Thanks for helping. I'm not going to change my videocard driver because everything else runs so well.
I just spent a lot of time on this again and I can't get fullscreen to work. I give up.
