Loom
Linux support?
Does anyone know if linux support is coming for this game?
If not is there any way I can play it through ScummVM?

According to the Linux gaming wiki, it works with ScummVM.

gog shop declare that they provide linux suppport for LOOM.
Ubuntu 14.04 / Linux Mint 17, Processor: 2.0 GHz, Memory: 1 GB RAM, Graphics: 256 MB VRAM, OpenGL compatible. This game comes with a .deb installer only.
Why it is not worked on Steam? Can I buy Loom here and install it from Steam launcher?

Slight update: It seems to run under Steam Play with Proton 4.11-6

Fair warning - I haven't tested it too deeply!

Cheers,
Paul

I've just played the whole thing through on Ubuntu 19.10 through Proton 3.16-9.

Worked fine, except nearly all the dialogue was clipped off at the end of sentences like "Grass green, I hate that col--". No idea if that's a thing that happens if you play it on other systems. Weirdly, it seemed to happen less often towards the end stages of the game. Still all made sense though and this was was first and only playthrough

I've tried all versions on SteamOS on my SteamDeck now and none seem to be able to work with it. Is there something else we can try to make this gem run on our decks?

Update from me - it fired up on Arch Linux with Proton 7.0-6. That's as close to the Steam Deck as I can get right now.

Cheers,
Paul

It works now, thanks tho.

The problem lied with the 64g version of the Deck that fills up quite fast with just shaders for games, even when having everything on the SD card that 64g will get eaten by files to have them run as good as they do on the Steam Deck, at wich point it will no longer boot up games. So the problem might be just that i have too many things installed.

Ah the 1TB SSD should come in next week so that should fix the issue. :cozybrawlhalla1:
