Achievements frustration
I finally found the last dev note, so all I *was* missing was editing one creature (I was missing 2 before I found the note). Or so I thought. Two problems: First, I can only see 20 cracks on my map, and the inventory says "21/22", even though I've finished the game twice now. I figure with the changes to cracks, I'm going to have to restart and replay to get that fixed.

But the other problem is that the game is saying 79/80 creatures edited, and I'm sure I've edited 80. Unless certain things you can edit don't count. And I don't want to be ridiculously spoiler-y by posting my list (yes, I wrote it out), but I can't think of any other way to tell you guys to have you confirm what does or doesn't count. Suggestions?

I assume that the achievement flag is set to register only when the in-game inventory registers ALL the things are completed, so breaking it out into individual achievements is unlikely, but man, having to restart the game every time you change content is a little frustrating ;)

You should NOT have to restart the game base on content changes, you should be able to just go in and get the new content. We tested that and it worked for us. Did you go back in and find the crack located at the teleporter bay as that one was added yesterday and would need to be found.

As far as creatures go, we might need to look at you save file to find what might be missing there. We have verified that the creature edit list is possible to achieve, but you're right, it is hard to break that one down.

It's actually not that hard to break it down, but can you confirm that the Pro and Skybastard are counted in the list?

As for the new crack, yes, I did find it, but I'll go back and try again just to make sure. Like I said, one 20 cracks show on my map, and there are no question marks left.

And I just checked, and that does appear to be the missing crack, unfortunately, I can't get to it... since I foolishly removed the teleport pad (to use the teleport other hack). I was there and I know I unlocked the crack because I can see the crack and it's black.... So, we'll chalk this up to a versioning bug.

ah, yes, that is the reason the crack was added, I am considering making a way in using teleport to get around the blocked door so people who got screwed by our oversight on this one can still get it without starting over...sorry about that, wish we had caught that case earlier.

The Skybastard IS included, Old Pro Coffin however is not. If you would like, I can post the list in this thread.

Thanks, that helped - I was off by one rock. Which is weird, because I was also off by one mushroom, but I guess I'd found it and lost it again. Sometimes things you edit don't always show up on the map.... (possibly another versioning bug?)

hmm, shouldn't be, sounds like a straight up bug if it happened. If you run across something like that again let us know.

I haven't seen the disappearing from map thing again, though I did have some weird counting of cracks (I could swear it's counting one more than I actually found, from the very beginning...)

On the other hand, I found out WHY I was off by one rock. The same thing happened on my third playthrough, but this time, creative use of groupthink and flying under the world and FINALLY I located it in a VERY dark cave. You guys are evil, y'know that?

So on my third playthrough now, got all the cracks and all the critters, but somehow I'm missing a commentary and two stat upgrades. *sighs* Can't win for losing ;)

4th time's the charm =) Just one achievement to figure out now...

Hmm all edited creatures should show up on map? A note about that then: for some reason I can't see Hiver Queen on map (I only see a Flammer at the very top), is it intentional? When I noticed that I thought it was intentional because the spawn feature, spawning that big creature sounds troublesome then I didn't bother with it. But then I found this thread and now I'm wondering if it's supposed to be this way.

A side note: when you are trying to locate which creatures are near you the map makes it a bit complicated :P, the creatures just beside you show up somewhat far from you on map but given the "unfinished" nature of the map I didn't think of it as a bug or something though.

Yeah, the map has some limitations for sure, to avoid having creatues pile on top if each other on the map we opted to space them out. We were probably more aggressive with that than we had to be, since it can result in them getting their visible location pushed away from where they actually are. We had their names and stats come up so that hopefully you would still be able to find who you were looking for.

As far as the queen, you are right, that is by design, since she is achored to the environment and cannot be summoned we didn't want to add the unneccessary visual noise.

Completely understandable. Yup, about the Queen it's what I thought then, since I could imagine what troubles could happen spawing it somewhere else (but I admit I thought about taking it somewhere :P) I could see why it wasn't in the map, and then later I noticed it was anchored and then it made more sense.

About spacing creatures on map, not a problem at all, I just wanted to make a note about that. It's good then don't pile up on each other and, as I said, given the "unfinished" nature of the map it just added a little touch to the environment, hehe.

Hmm, something doesn't match on that list. Inventory shows I still have to edit 5 creatures (76/81) and then I went to count on map which ones I discovered. At first I noticed I had edited 12 hivers, your list says 17. Gotcha. However, for some reason I went ahead and checked the rest of the list and then something got weird. List says 3 Juggos but my map shows 4. List shows 8 rock, my map has 7. List shows 10 corpses, my map has 9. List shows 3 Whirly Birds, my map shows 1 but I saw one near the Skybastard that I didn't edit yet. All other creatures match.

This math doesn't match (it sounded weird lol).

There's four juggos, a whirlybird in the whirly hangar, Coda has two, there's a rock in the tower in the forest (look up) and one by the Hiver Queen, and I dunno about the corpses.
