Helping My Friends Level Quicker
Hey all,

So I have a lvl 60 gunner n a lvl 53 reaper. I convinced my rl friends to play with me and I really want them to join me in late game content. We are in our mid 20ies and inevatebly what always happens when we try out a new mmorpg is one of them get super bored of grinding and we never reach the late game content.

So basically my Question is...Is it possible for me to use my chars to speed up their leveling process? I am not looking for an end all be all way to get them from 15-60. Just some way for me to help them lvl faster. Any ideas? (spending money on a scroll is not a viable option)

YOu got a group, so ya could stop questing and kill BAMs and do instances.
But they might not like doing that.

Mid-20s with a decent income? Buy a voucher from game store that let's your character go to level 60 right away.

Time is money! Losing interest after a few days, weeks, or months can also be considered time and money lost, so the bonus of going to 60 right away has its benefits.

Power leveling doesn't work very well in this game. Group exp gets nerfed heavily if members are too far above a level range. Even something like healing or tanking BAMs outside of the party can decrease exp gain significantly.

That said, Mid 20's is barely any time investment with this game. 1-10 can be done in less than an hour, 10-25 done in a couple more. While most classes don't start to get good skill combinations until after level 30, if your friends are already losing interest, this just might not be the game for them.

Getting a level 60 scroll, or even paying someone to powerlevel you won't help matters. The only thing this will accomplish is giving them a character they don't really care about, with a dozen skills they don't know how to really use, while putting them in situations that they aren't prepared for. Even when you have a fair bit of experience with a class and instances in this game, endgame dungeons can be tough... Particularly so when the majority of your party are fresh 65s. Any shortcuts you might try to make while leveling will only make the endgame learning process more painful.

There is no way to help your friends unfortunately, you can only tell them the best ways to level up effectively without wasting time. Maybe you could buy tp scrolls for them to get to the lvl 60-65 area and kill the Ruin Guardians there. I don't know how heavily the EXP will get nerfed but they'll get a headstart out of it

Doing this will level them fairly quickly until about 25. Then it gets pretty slow.

They nerfed the crap out of powerleveling, most likely because they couldn't sell level 60 scrolls. But if you're willing to fork over the cash or gold, that's the fastest way to level. Otherwise it only takes a total of 24 hours to get to 60.

I meant hunting BAMs with them on your low lvl character not on your 65, it should be easy and fast since you have group. they give more exp then quests and much faster.
Preferably a couple of lvls above you

1-30: Follow the quest line since you get bag space for completing island of dawn quests. I personally just quest until I get my first avatar weapon and then start on Basilisks in Bestial Vale. You can switch to the Nagas in the southern part of Celestial Hills when you out level the basilisks.
30 - 34: Sinestral manor 5 man (you solo this)
34 - 38: Serav's Ascent (or however it's spelled)
38 - 44: Cultist's refuge (5 man version, but you solo it)
44 - 50: Necromancer's tomb ( (5 man version, but you solo it)
50 - 58: Daevas @ dragonfall
58 - 60: Mugatos at pathfinder
60 - 65: Highwatch grinding or story quests
