TERA

TERA

Which class should I choose if I only like Assassin class in other games?
I have played Tera before it released on Steam long ago. However, I stopped because there aren't any classes really catch my attention. The reason is I'm an Assassin/Thief/Rogue class player in every MMORPG.

However, Tera doesn't offer any of those 3 classes I listed above :(. Anyone out there also have a same interest with me that know which other classes beside Assassin class would fit me well? Thank you.

Warrior is like an assassin. You backstab and if you spec for damage you'll be quite strong and fast. Of all the classes I've played, it's one of my favourites.

I think the closest one would be the warrior, due to high speed attacks and frequent dodging.

Warrior is a tank hybrid with consistend small hits as dmg. I think slayer would be more assassin like since it has dash. backstab(like the warrior), a big ass sword and a bit more burst than a warr.

In my definition, Assassin = slim, agility, and small weapon choice. Slayer = muscular, strength, big/heavy weapon choice. That mean I'm not interest in Slayer. Seem like Tyler Durden and Vosklra are quite right with Warrior choice. However, the class name "Warrior" is a bit bother me though, since we all know what and how Warrior class in other games mean and portray.

Yea, the Warrior class name is wierd, it plays very differently than any other game's warrior.

Don't worry about Slayer. Try Warrior.

You should really like warrior because their swords aren't really particularly big. They are also rather quick, with lots of "Assassin-like" skills such as backstab and whatnot. They have very good mobility too. Warriors also can tank ofc with good use of their skills + defensive stance, but you need not worry about that. With a full offense spec, you'd be pretty much playing like how Assassins play in other MMORPG's. However, pay note that ofc there is no evasion stat in game, as you dodge everything by yourself - which can be a huge plus once you get good with all your mobility skills.

Warrior's skills are also very fast and very clean/smooth on most races, so you need not worry about that. They're definitely your best bet if you want to go for a true "assassin"-like class.

Thanks guys :) I will start over with Warrior then. Also, I want to say this since SkyIXTumn pointed it out, "However, pay note that ofc there is no evasion stat in game, as you dodge everything by yourself," I actually like that more than other MMORPG when you just stand there and press buttons... I'm a Hack & Slash gamer anyway XD.

Haha you'll enjoy this game heaps then! It'll also prompt you to truly get good with your class later on in the game. You'll be an assassin when you do :).

I am just like you. All I want to play are classes that are Assassin/Thief/Rogue. The 2 best classes that fit this category in Tera are Warrior and Reaper. I play both but prefer Reaper since IMO it is more slippery, even has 5 seconds of stealth, but this is a bad stealth that can be removed with damage to you.

Yea, Reaper is cool. However, you need to have a lvl 40 character first to unlock it >.<, also it locked to only 1 race...

Actually you're wrong, slayer is very agile, mobile, fast at later stages of the game. Warrior has more CC and aoe cc but less damage and less burst potential. Slayer bursts harder that's why he's the assassin of tera, you can't say warr is an assassin because he simply cannot burst some one, he applies consistent damage and annoys the hell out of you with staggers and stuns/counter-stuns.

p.s. i am talking about later level(65) at beggining slayer is very slow, but he goes to supersonic later on.

What you siad isn't wrong. However, I just don't like muscular character with big weapon. Even their skills are fast, their looks more like a warrior than an assassin.
