In my definition, Assassin = slim, agility, and small weapon choice. Slayer = muscular, strength, big/heavy weapon choice. That mean I'm not interest in Slayer. Seem like Tyler Durden and Vosklra are quite right with Warrior choice. However, the class name "Warrior" is a bit bother me though, since we all know what and how Warrior class in other games mean and portray.
You should really like warrior because their swords aren't really particularly big. They are also rather quick, with lots of "Assassin-like" skills such as backstab and whatnot. They have very good mobility too. Warriors also can tank ofc with good use of their skills + defensive stance, but you need not worry about that. With a full offense spec, you'd be pretty much playing like how Assassins play in other MMORPG's. However, pay note that ofc there is no evasion stat in game, as you dodge everything by yourself - which can be a huge plus once you get good with all your mobility skills.
Warrior's skills are also very fast and very clean/smooth on most races, so you need not worry about that. They're definitely your best bet if you want to go for a true "assassin"-like class.
p.s. i am talking about later level(65) at beggining slayer is very slow, but he goes to supersonic later on.
