Massive FPS Drop On Bosses
I'm sure this has been discussed before but I would like help on this subject too. I started playing this game again after being away for a couple of months. I like to run dungeons a lot but every time I reach a boss battle my frames drop a lot making it unable to dodge and have combat with boss. I'm not sure if this is the game doing this because a lot of people have the same issues that I have or maybe it's my computer specs? I have an i5 and I am able to run on the highest settings. Any ideas?

Maybe you need to turn down your resolution. That helped me!

Me too, my fps is good on everything else but when i get to a boss fight it drops from 50-100 to 1-10. This makes it really hard to do dungeons, could someone help?

I get the same thing. My FPS is 60+ in the world, 25 in super populated city, and during boss fights for all the level 65 dungeons, my FPS drops down to 10 or so. I've tried many things, but have yet to find the magic trick to make it work. My rig is has plenty of power.
My rig:
Windows 7 64 bit
AMD FX-8150 3.6Hz (OC to 4.2Hz)
RAM DDR3 1600 16 gigs
2x XFX DD R9 290 4gigs each (not running Crossfire)

TERA is a game that should of never gone past beta, you're going to get low fps no matter your specs, but this might help.

I haven't tried the buff remover, but there are some things in there that will help improve your fps.

Tera tends to lean a little more heavily on the CPU instead of the GPU, this is so that low end pcs can run it decently. That is one of the reason for the low fps no matter the computer. One of the others, as I discovered looking in to this, is that Tera's U.I. is flashbased. So updating your flashplayer helps with that some. There are three things that tend to eat up FPS in Tera.

1) PC limit. Its its set to unlimited, it will eat your FPS.
2) Draw distances. Tera doesn't tend to load closest first, more like all at once.
3) Lighting. Adjusting you lighting enrichment may render more FPS.

Tera is one of the few games I have run across that have a draw distance for everything.. I'd start here and adjust them each down to 3 and see how that helps. Then from here you can tweak them to find whatever balance in it you like.

just drop your settings down to the lowest , unless you are a graph w**** you can enjoy this type of game even without all the fancy effects i know that even ppl with PCs that perform way better then mine do it and while it might not look nice it will work.
2nd is that you might not have FPS issues caused by hardware but by net lagg and i can't help you with that but TERA NA has great servers that perform well even for players in europe like myself and those with poor internet connecton so you should also look into that

Using preset 2 on Tera's ingame video option helps out a lot. I used to have the same problem too around the Shattered Fleet area.
