Most & Least favorite race and why?

Just a random thread I made on a whim, and was curious about other peoples thoughts.

Most: Aman, because a properly-crafted dragonpeople race is really cool, and the Aman are no exception. I especially like that both genders have appropriately strong body types-any generations-long warrior species should look the part, and they do.

Elin, cause I'm a lolicon

I do like male humans tho, but mostly in heavy armor like lancer, got one myself and boy does he look awesome, in all that huge ass armor and shield and lance. Like some holy knight, a paladin i dunno, they have this noble wibe in them.

I agree with you on the human thing. Since TO has managed to avoid WoW levels of huge items, heavy armor stuff looks both really cool and acceptably realistic. it's a pretty inspiring thing watching a tank of a human or aman wading into a group of enemies and tearing ♥♥♥♥ up.

Unfortunately, concerning the elin (my least favorite)...

Gonna be honest, my first reaction to your favorite is contempt. Lolicons and pedophiles have been spamming chats with BS about tight elin ♥♥♥♥♥ and tiny elin ♥♥♥♥ since before F2P came along (I'm a founder), and they're still doing it today. A little less frequently nowadays, but it's annoying when I'm having a serious discussion about tips and tricks for killing Teraliths, and I have to spend more time hunting down and blocking names than I do actually having a useful discussion.

If it wasn't for the toxic spam, I'd probably be neutral to the whole thing.

Haha, i know what you mean, and no I'm not one of those ^^ I wasn't fully serious when i said that, but i do like elins, my main is elin zerker and she has this cute fashion coupon armor/dress which covers her whole body, height -3 and when she runs around with all that you can barely see her ankles (as the matter of fact you can't xD) under that dress and it looks so friggin adorable. I like elins cause they're adorable and cute, and i hate people that oversexualize them as much as you do. Well, as long as they keep it more private it's not that bad, i mean whisper/party/guild, but it's definitely not ok on global and the likes.

And dear god no I'm not having similar discussions about tight... well you know. Not about elin nor about any other race.

Personally, I think the Elin character customizer is terrifying. If you go to make a new character and just keep hitting the random character button, you see some nightmarish stuff.

Favorite: Elin, I like the other races too though.

Least Favorite: Baraka. I think the design is pretty cool, but I wouldn't play one.Unless they'll get a new class...which they sadly probably won't. The only thing I dislike about Elins is that they get all the love and attention, with cute outfits and a ♥♥♥♥-ton of new race locked classes.

Least: Baraka, no real reason or hate, just not something Im into.

Though I must say, it does suck that people have tarnished the Elin image in General Chat with all those comments and other cringe. So now you sometimes get folks that want to discourage or shame people into not playing them.

While I can't say I 100% agree with it, that's the most coherent explanation for why people like playing Elins I've ever seen. Thanks.

and least is aman (w/e the dragon looking things are) they are freaking ugly and i would never play one i dont even want to see one in my sights. If i was in a party with one i would be like just die so i dont have to look at you to heal you.

Favorite: Castanic. They just remind me of dark elves or something.
Least: Human. I never play humans. I like the variation in species.

Favourite would be female Castanic. Not just because of the looks, it's just when I think of Tera it's the race that immediately comes to mind. I also really like female High elves. Last time I seriously played my main was a female High Elf lancer and their armor just looked amazing.

Least favourite would be Elins and Popori. Elins for a lot of reasons the OP says and for me Popori are extremely immersion breaking. I didn't play for ages (also a founder) and when I did I always find the main city full of Popos in those silly looking cars which made me hate them even more.

Favorite: 50/50 between Castanic and High Elves.
It would definitely be High Elves for how elegant they can look but my first character was Castanic so I have a soft spot for them.

Inbetween: Elin. I love humans with animal ears and tails, so I like Elin as a rule of thumb, I just hate how they were done. Far too childish and cutsey with doll faces that Chucky would be proud of. Seriously the defaults look like old fashioned china dolls with anime eyes possesed by the demonic spirit of a dead child who will kill you in your sleep. I spent hours making my Reaper and Ninja look decently human via the fine details. Even then I got my Ninja's eyes elegant, but her lips could not be widened sufficiently enough to not look doll-ish, so I just slapped a Kitsune mask on her and called it good. I used the height changer and thigh changer on each to try to get them to at least look more like teens in stature, but sadly cannot give them boobs outside of the 2013 swimsuits. Also the inability to mix-match hair and ears so I'm stuck with ponytails and curly topknots. Oh and their outfits... I hate their outfits... I want to be a badass not a fairy princess. The community also makes them kinda depressing to play too honestly...

Least: Aman. It's the legs.

(edit): Holy crap! I just realised Elin's have normal ears as well as their animal ones. That's creepy. Must have spectacular hearing though...
