Message from a new player

Just started got about 23 hours on the game and a lvl 48 Brawler.

Ive got a lot of experience playing MMO's, everything from Champions online to WOW to Rift to Conan ect...

First off, I feel like the entire community is 15 yr old girls and it must be their first MMO ever.

The healers are terrible in almost every dungeon I've done so far. Main Tanks are terrible with holding aggro. All in all, the community is noob central, even the vets are bad.

Pretty much not going to continue playing this MMO as its for 15 yr olds and anime kids.

The design of the fighting however is very enjoyable but all in all, the game is bad because most of the community is terribad at their role.

I gave it a good run, maybe I'll run into you in Black Desert.

I dropped black desert for this because black desert is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cringe. I haven't level capped this yet though but I can see the pvp in this being a big deal if they optimize it better. I'm gonna level some toons for when that happens. Though blackz desert is fun. It's kind of time consuming for what feels like no real potential reward. I do agree about this community being mainly a younger crowd so far. But give it time. Tera has made a lot of progress so far from release. Faster than most other MMOs.

Though I understand what youre saying I still think most of the community really has no clue to how to play their class.

I also really really really dont like how girly everything is. Super foo-foo toons and little girls everywhere. Feels like a petifiles wet dream. The game attracts anime kids and most of the community seems like there female, which is okay, if they were decent.

I also read about the endgame being a complete mess. 4 dungeons to run over and over and over? Not worth the time spent waiting to be revived while you watch your main tank run around the boss room and see your healers only healing themselves.

Theres much to be desired as far as high level MMO mechanics. Seems like every class has ONE spell they just spam and spam and spam. No one seems to have a clue as to how to play correctly and its not time well spent trying to teach kids on to aggro correctly.

I know BD isnt all that and a bag of chips, but at least its not full of only female slutty toons everywhere, and at least most of the community is hardcore WOW players that know how to play.

I just didnt dig the experience outside of solo combat.

Ok. TERA is more of a Devil May Cry game than any of the MMOs you listed but sure.

As a male High Elf I concur. It's why I named my pet Weeaboo and use it as often as I can.

Guess somebody isn't pro enough to use the dodge mechanic. Main Tanks? Brawler is a tank class and it's damage output for dps is extremely low. Did you queue as DPS on Brawler when half of it's glyph are for having aggro? Also, what community are you talking about, you didn't even reach max level. Every class gets their main skills and glyphs unlocked at Level 65, tl;dr "every dungeon" you have done reflects nothing about the core endgame which is completely different, it's obvious people play bad on new levels because 99 % of the time they play a new class or are new players like yourself.

You have frontal block on multiple skills. You also have a rather spammable block. What are you taking damage from?

TERA has drawn the younger, anime crowd since they brought in Elins (AKA since closed beta). It's not changing anytime soon. Global chat is cancer on the server I play on, so I just avoid it.

As far as dungeons goes, I have to agree on the part about healers. They really suck. I'm probably going to level one myself just to show that it can be played properly. Also, most dungeons I've been in so far have all had Brawlers who just run through many rooms, gathering up ALL the mobs, then wait for everyone else to catch up and kill them. This however, sometimes results in the Brawler's death lol

The only reason why healers "suck" is because the healers you run with in dungeons are mostly alts. As for the main healers who have skilled everywhere it's likely that they are in a guild or static and just don't run with randoms.
