The game freezes after opening a beacon view in Refugees scenario

I'm playing the Refugees scenario right now. Before I finished the original story and Arcs without any issues. But now the game crashes each time, when my just built beacon is automatically opened. Sound is still playing, but the UI is totally frozen. Can't open anything, can't return to menu. I made a save right before this, and each time it is the same.

I tried different resolutions, tried to open the game in a windowed mode. Different video settings, like put everything to minimal. The same.

Please, help me to solve this, I really want to continue it.

Tried to run the same save in a virtual machine (where I used to run the game before), but it crashed the whole Windows.
