Instead of the 30 wood, 20 steel, and 1 steam core that the event claims it will charge you to build an infirmary at the Hot Springs, instead it charges you *up to* 50 wood, 50 steel, and two steam cores. Who knows, maybe it makes them extra displeased with you too.

Additionally, since the cost takes a few seconds to kick in you can actually spend yourself down to below a certain amount and then the outgoing shipment will fail to be generated (though any remaining resources will be deducted). This may be related to some crashes people have reported. AFAICT this amount seems to be <20 wood, <30 steel, and <1 steam core, which still isn't the correct listed cost of an infirmary.

For anyone looking to avoid the extra costs right now, make sure you have 30 wood, 20 steel, and 1 steam core for the option for an infirmary to be able to be chosen, pause the game before you click the popup so you have time afterword, and then spend yourself down to just 20 wood, 30 steel, and one steam core. You can't avoid the entire extra steel cost, but you can save yourself a bunch of wood.
