How to start the game in windowed / screen res?

Hello,

When the game launches it goes out of range of my monitor. Meaning i can't see anything on the screen except for a message saying out of range. To fix this issue I just need to find the correct screen resoultion for my system. Its currently 1920 x 1440.

Whever res the game launches with doesnt work for my setup.

How do I either launch the game in windowed mode or change the screen res before launching?

Try deleting the config file in

%appdata%/11bitstudios/frostpunk/config.bin

Thanks for the reply but that didnt work. I thought there was a steam.ini file I could edit to change the screen res but i'm not seeing one in the frostpunk dir.

Looks like i'm not the only one running into this issue.

Any other suggestions?

There was a way to have steam launch options launch the game in windowed mode but it isn't working for frostpunk.

Basically I should be able to right click the game, got to properties, then launch options and add the -windowed command. However these commands seem to be disabled with frostpunk.

I'm not planning on waiting for a patch here lol. I'd be perfectly happy with a press down 4 times, hit enter, press right once, press tab, then use the arrow keys until I find a screen resolution that works sort of thing. =P

Yep, pretty sad you can't use keyboard in menu. Same problem here btw.

open the "GfxConfig.ini" file in frostpunks steam dir and change "Full screen mode=True" to false

I've created a custom config.bin file that launches the game in Windowed mode at a fairly low resolution

https://ufile.io/zatl4

Overwrite the config.bin file contained in

%appdata%/11bitstudio/frostpunk

And the game will launch in windowed mode

when in game try to put your mouse at the very top of the screen and there will come out the line and you will see minimize, make windowed or close. at least for me it works
