GAME NOT LAUNCHING

Bought the game 6hr ago. Downloading process went pretty well, then after that when i launched Frostpunk, its shows "Frostpunk running" but after 30 sec or so the launching windows suddenly dissappears and the game is not launching.

I TRIED THESE STEPS MENTIONED BELOW:

1) uninstalling & installing game
2) uninstalling & installing steam
3) verified integrity of the game folder
4) cleared download cache
5) restarted pc and steam
6) disabled steam overlay in-game
7) updated graphic drive, directx, microsoft visual c++


plz resolve this issue asap. OR else i gonna go for REFUND.

MY SYSTEM SPEC.

i3(3.3ghz), windows 7, 8bg ram, zotac geforce 1050gtx OC edition, broadband connection

I had the same issue, game was crashing when launching any mode.


So I followed this discussion ( http://steamcommunity.com/app/323190/discussions/1/3211505894147947799/ ) where the devs explain different steps in the case game doesn't start, updated the Visual C++, the graphic driver (as I have a NVIDIA GeForce I always use their software GeForce Experience to check all drivers and any errors report, really good and practical) and everything worked fine for me after that and a quick computer restart.

I hope that if you didn't try it yet it will resolve your problem :/

I have absolutely same problem, i get an erro and the game doesn't evne start. I've done everything on that list, updated direct X and VIsual C, checked all the recommend links even by other people on the forum.

THe game shouldn't need so many steps int he first place, it needs to give the player a comfortable play experience, not a puzzle how to get it started.

And even after all those steps, it doesn't work and the team ignores my post 100%. THinking of refunding the game if nothing is done till newyear

simple terms & conditions for refund is that, it should be claimed withing 2 weeks from the date of game installed and play hour should be less than 2 hours. If this conditions applies then your money will be credited to your steam wallet, not in your bank account.

STEPS:
library-->games-->frostpunk-->support(rightside of the screen, below the LINKS menu)-->click the option that you are facing. and another link will open having the option "REFUND".

If not working then, try to download this microsoft c++ content. This is the final step and this should work. It will not fail. Thank me later.

Thx Pasta for your effort writting and anwsering. I've went through every link you gave, repaired all files that offered repair, installed some and some said i already had them. I'm still stuck with the same problem.

I posted the error log on the forum, so that the devs can see read what my problem is, but no anwser yet from them...

And purhase after some time when the game is stabe.

my game has almost the same error... but it says running but there is no game.. so i have to close it in task manager. i followed your steps, but still not even a error or loading screen... just nothing

Make sure all these files are available in your pc. If not download everything listed and try again.

If this doesn't work go for refund immediately.

Thx Pasta for your help. I've deleted all the old files, and gone through all the links again, and now it works. Seems some old file prevented some new files to be applied or something.

I can't commend the devs for their participance, but at least some community members are really helping out.
