Cinematic scenes stutter, audio problems
Loading cinematic and new game cinematic both suffer from choppy video and audio stutter. Skipping to either game menu or the in-game engine does not seem to represent this problem.

i7-7700HQ, 16gb ram, nvidia GTX1070 with latest drivers, Realtek audio with latest drivers, latest .net packs... haven't had this problem with any other game and no issues running recents such as Far Cry 5 running at max settings in 4k. Seems really odd. Disappointing! I like the full experience. Any suggestions?

I have solved the problem installing Frostpunk in my SSD. Anyway, I will try to solve the problem when I install some games like Battlefleet gothic: Armada in the normal Hard Disk and have the same problem.

Can you run a console diagnostic and send it and your dxdiag to the devs at

techsupport@11bitstudios.com

Its a bit hard to know whats going on. My theory is a bad locally installed codec but its hard to tell sometimes

I'm having the same problem. The opening cutscene is super jumpy, and there doesn't seem to be a way to jump past it.

Same problem. Essentailly same hardware. As I Cant find a fix for this, just returning it while I can

I've heard that video stutering might be caused by

1) non-60 Hz mointors (force your monitor to 60Hz)
2) having a controller pugged in (unplug it)
3) Sonic Studio or Nahimic can cause isssues (uninstall them)

Having the same problem.

I uninstalled Nahimic and this fixed the stuttering/audio issues. Also resolution is at 120Hz and that's not causing a problem.

Glad to see further trouble shooting for this issue. Thanks for putting the time in.

So, I had this problem, and did a lot of testing.
1) Uninstalled Sonic Studio and Nahimic, then reboot. Did not work.
2) Tried changing my screens refresh rate in graphic settings, tried all refresh rates, 165, 144, 120, 100, 85, 60, 59, 24 and 23. Did not work.
3) Turned ON V-sync. WORKING!

You could probably try to turn ON V-sync first, see if that helps. If not, try removing Nahimic and/or Sonic Studio.

I had this exact same problem, as soon as I deleted Nahimic the problem was resolved. Honestly don't understand why Nahimic was the issue but at least the problem was solved!

Uninstalling Nahimic and rebooting worked to fix the problem for me.

I'm running everything on very high everything on.
Vsync on
Fullscreen Borderless.

If you're playing on a newish MSI laptop with Nahimic and you don't have trouble running other games, as stated above Nahimic is most likely the culprit. To be sure, validate your game files and check to see if V-sync is already on (it should be). If it's not, turn it on and reboot the game. If the problem is still there, uninstall Nahimic, and reboot your computer. This solved the problem for me.
