"Promise Broken" bug

Just lost alot of hope and gained discontent cause I failed a promise to build homes for 50 people, but I built 5 tents lol buggy game,

There are different version of build home was it just build home or was it build bunk house also the construction has to be completed so even if 1 house as 1 hour left to be built it doesn't count for a made tent

It was "build shelter for 50 people" and I built 5 tents a day ahead of time

You should have seen the objective say 10/50, 20/50 etc.
Also you had say 2 tents and then made the promise, you had to build 5 more tents, not just 3.

Also for another easy to break promise: heat, be careful not to upgrade tents during the promise.

This. This tripped me up a few times. when you make that promise, upgrading the housing won't count, instead making the counter go up. The promise boils down to making the cold houses warm without upgrading them

The most likely source of your problem may be that you're not connecting the houses to roads. I've been tripped up many times by not building a road to a building and having a promise broken. If the house is not connected by road then the building has not yet been activated and no one can live there. If you've turned any houses off make sure that isn't the problem.

Also, on the bottom left of the screen it tells you how many people you have to house (eg, 50/50). Make sure that it wasn't something like 56 people you had to house, in that case you would have to build 6 houses.
