Which Frostpunk should i get (I'm new to this sorta game)
So like I like the premise of the game, I like the idea of choices and moral options to choose between, but i also like variety and content and an idea of expansion of borders and story element? Soooo which Frostpunk would be the better choice? 1 or 2?

id reccomend the first game and the last autumn DLC, though ive heard that frost punk 2 is actually worse than frost punk 1 simply because they changed alot of the mechanics that made the first game what it was and was less about the survival of 1 but instead multiple cities. FP1 and the last autumn cover a pretty darn good chunk of story as well

If you want the full lore/story I would recommend playing the 1st FrostPunk game as the second game follows the events (not saying more to avoid any spoilers) of the 1st game so its better to play the game series in sequence to fully enjoy the Story/Lore that the dev team had developed for the FrostPunk universe!

Yeah ok from playing anno 1800 coming from 2070 i understand the muplite complex of managing multi cities and i really hate that about anno 1800 so if FP2 is like what Anno 1800 is i'll go with FP 1

Get Frostpunk 1.
If you like it, get the season pass.
If like them get Frostpunk 2.

Frost Punk 1 has a better story and is better for morale choices as they are more direct, it is also better if you prefer city-building games

Frost Punk 2 is better if you like political maneuvering, multiple big spiralling cities and prefer 4x strategy games.

also, Frost Punk One is cheaper with all DLC and has more stuff to do with all of the Scenarios having something unique about them and has a okay endless mode whereas Frost Punk 2 has only one long scenario as of the moment with a great endless mode.

@Craz Zero start with Frostpunk 1, if you like grand strategies get Frostpunk 2 after :steamhappy:

Until now, i liked the first FP more. It's more city building game, where the second one more like a 4X game.

Personally I would easily choose 1 over 2. If 1 did not exist I may like 2 more, but quite a lot of the gameplay that I like in 1 they removed from 2, which makes zero sense.

I would pay and prefer more DLC for 1 than play the 2.

I also imagine if works the other way, if you play the 2nd first, then play 1, you may not like 1 due to the different gameplay. Of course a lot of people like both, but when I try to play 2 it just reminds me of how much its changed from 1 and it frustrates me.

I'd play Frostpunk 1 while they iron out the bugs in FP2. I was hyped for FP2 and then came back to playing more FP1 because the bugs were actively decreasing my enjoyment of the game. I was fine with the changes from FP1 to FP2, but the bugs got me.

start with 1, by the time you're done with that, you'll probably want to try 2. which i didnt get yet. when FP1 was on sale i got all the dlcs and i probably wont play it all. but its there if i want to change it up..

i Got 2. its not as fun as 1, but its a new kinda game and maybe harder.

100% get this one, if you like it, grab the full DLC season pass, if you like those, check the reviews of FP2 and make your next decision then

First Frostpunk.

It's like Dying Light. The first game is awesome. The second game is utterly un-inspiring.

No, even worse. Where Anno added fleshed out colony mechanics and cool late game Electricity that changes your game, we get a minimum of colony mechanics in Frostpunk 2 and even better! The oil that's shown everywhere is literally just new coal! No real story about it, nada! Isn't that just purely AMAZING?!... You find it and boom, done. You can just get it, no research etc needed. LMFAO

There's a lot of idiots in the reviews claiming it's "excatly like FP1, just better!" while FP2 is devoid of any real meaning to playing. In 1 I wanted to rescue humanity, in 2 it's just blah, since you get spammed with people and there's 0 to do really except "make city bigger, number go up!".
