optional step: look on https://steamdb.info/ for your game to see the maximum discount it ever got
Step 2: you get notified when a game is on sale every few months and can buy it.
or
Buy it full price if you don't want to wait.
1. It's not STEAM who decides the sale price, but the publisher.
2. Are you equally angry when a movie you saw in theatre for 10 or 20 dollars is later shown on TV for free, or on Netflix for few cents?
3. Entertainment's "value" (and therefore price) has several components, including 'how new it is'. No-one forced you to pay full price for the game, but you wanted to be among the first who experience it, perhaps so that you could then enjoy the role of 'the wise advisor' who helps latecomers get their bearings, or perhaps you wanted to avoid having the game spoiled to you, or you really wanted to know what happens in the game. THAT is what you paid the 'premium' full price for.
Man get over yourself, if you didn't want to pay the full price then you should of waited for a sale also.
look at it the other way around, would you feel comfortable paying full price for a 6 year old game?
I can't believe you actually wrote that.
there are regularily big ones and those who can't wait will have to pay full price.
if you can't wait I suggest going to one of the other stores like gog and see the prices there, they will usually be more lenient.
Or even better, the dealership near me is offering a limited time discount. They should just cut me a check for that discount, being I bought a car without that discount.
You know what, I'll take both. Nissan and the dealership can both cut me checks.
