FUMING!!
I feel that there is a major issue with Steam offering huge discounts on games that we have already paid full price for. I feel that this is a huge slap in the face for those of us who have paid full price for a game - or games - only to find that every so often, Steam has one of their sales in which the games we already have now have huge discounts.

I feel that this is extremely unfair to those of us who have already paid full price. Steam should either offer those of us who have missed out on the discounts, FREE DLC's up to the money knocked off from the game. Or they should not cut the prices at all. It is simply not fair on those of us who have paid the full price for games like Frostpunk only to see it hugely discounted. What do others think about this? I am fuming.

Step 1: wishlist games
optional step: look on https://steamdb.info/ for your game to see the maximum discount it ever got
Step 2: you get notified when a game is on sale every few months and can buy it.

or
Buy it full price if you don't want to wait.

1. It's not STEAM who decides the sale price, but the publisher.
2. Are you equally angry when a movie you saw in theatre for 10 or 20 dollars is later shown on TV for free, or on Netflix for few cents?
3. Entertainment's "value" (and therefore price) has several components, including 'how new it is'. No-one forced you to pay full price for the game, but you wanted to be among the first who experience it, perhaps so that you could then enjoy the role of 'the wise advisor' who helps latecomers get their bearings, or perhaps you wanted to avoid having the game spoiled to you, or you really wanted to know what happens in the game. THAT is what you paid the 'premium' full price for.

Either wait for a discount to avoid having to pay full price for something or if you can't wait, the least you can do is grow up. What an entitled little brat. To all intents and purposes, I sincerely hope this is a troll post.

bro your such a bozo just dont buy it if you think the price was to high ??? you paid full price because you wanted to now you want to cry get a grip

Ah man, I feel so cheated that I got this game earlier then waiting 6 years for it to be cheap.

Man get over yourself, if you didn't want to pay the full price then you should of waited for a sale also.

I may have to do that next time. Wait. But I still feel that there is something not quite right about this.

look at it the other way around, would you feel comfortable paying full price for a 6 year old game?

Such the discounts could attract much more players,it is a nice try

@wleon - are you kidding? This must be an "I'm looking for attention" post because it makes no sense. EVERY business model has sales. Hardware store, groceries, makeup, clothing, home decorations, pet supplies ... that's how it works. If you don't want to pay full price for something, you wait for a sale. Just like the rest of us.

I can't believe you actually wrote that.

the whole concept of how the sales on steam work must be new to you.
there are regularily big ones and those who can't wait will have to pay full price.

if you can't wait I suggest going to one of the other stores like gog and see the prices there, they will usually be more lenient.

dude this game is ancient by gaming standards. It makes perfect sense that it went on sale at such a huge discount. Its not new anymore.

Hey, my car can be picked up for thousands cheaper from Nissan themselves at this point. They should send me a check to make up the difference.

Or even better, the dealership near me is offering a limited time discount. They should just cut me a check for that discount, being I bought a car without that discount.

You know what, I'll take both. Nissan and the dealership can both cut me checks.

You are missing the point entirely.

Wooooaaaah man. There are many more important things happening in the world right now to actually be angry about. I recommend directing that wild frustration towards more productive avenues.

Sorry, but there is only one person here missing the point and it's not any of us. :)
