Snow Pits
In the scenario "The Fall Of Winterhome", the previous captain has choosen to put a snow pit for bodies in the middle of the city. When the heat comes on this creates a problem with disease and a warning to move the pit or avoid heating the area. WTF, I need to heat the area and it appears the game will not allow you to deconstruct the pit. What exactly am I missing and will somebody please point me to the solution.

Build another snowpit somewhere cold and then destroy the first snowpit.

It is deliberately put there to subtly encourage you to relocate some buildings. As long as you have a second snowpit constructed you can delete the original one. Also note the bodies also get 'moved' so in the very rare event you use corpse fertilizer or cannibalism you got 80+ corpsicles to work with.

Right after I posted, I discovered that building another snow pit was allowed and that triggered the allowance of removing bodies from the old one and it's destruction.

This scenario is really busting my butt and I can't get past the first few days. I can't get the trust up past about 5-10% and everybody works at the speed of poured molasses. So tell me, these people are all a$$holes so why do I care about saving them again? They elected me captain so they should be busting their chops trying to earn my trust instead of the other way around for the first 5-10 days at least!

Try to avoid having any deaths or failed promises during that phase. If you are having a hard time with hope, tech up to the Temple law which will give you enough abilities to push it over the 50% threshold.

You also need to take overcrowding pretty early on to manage the massive number of sick people. Once you start getting on top of that, keeping everyone warm, and clearing out ruins it gets a bit more manageable.

This scenario is the hardest.
Get overcrowding for your medical posts
Use gathering posts to gather ressources faster (if you delete some useless roads, there are some really good spots for them).
Try to regroup tents in the same area to heat only what's necessary.

Also the work efficiency is probably bad because you have lots of sick at the start.
