About the Victorian Edition
I am considering buying the physical copy of the game (partly in the hope it might arrive before the 24th!) but I have a couple of questions.

1. I do not have a CD drive in my PC - could I make an image of the disc using my laptop and then play the game on my PC using the ISO? Or will that not work?

2. It comes with a physical disc and a steam key? So could I use the steam key and give the physical copy to my friend or vice versa?

3. Can the physical copy be used on multiple different PCs? Could I sell the game after I was done with it and it would work for someone else?

Thanks!

If I'm not wrong, the retail version would also require a steam key. This key is not transferable.

keep on dreaming if you buy a retail copy of this game it wont have a cd in it only a steam key so when you activate the key on your steam account and then sell the retail box to someone else then that other user will paid for nothing because he cant use the game

the day that pc games comes on a cd/dvd is gone steam is so much better
Maybe it will have a Dvd but only for that case, if u have bad internet. But u get a Key, and u cant give your friends a copy, its only 4 you.

I got the retail version of Shogun 2 Total War, which came with both the CD and steam key. I think the CD was just to install the local files, but the steam key is needed to activate them. That key is tied to your steam account.

The image on the Amazon website says "PC DVD" - so I think we can assume there will be a physical disc.

If the Steam Key is required to activate the disc and that is a one-time use then that's fine. Does that mean that there's no chance you could install and play the game prior to the 24th because the Steam Key wouldn't be accepted?

Check the package info - it contains: an artbook, a hard box, a dvd and a steam code.

Precisely. But if you need the steam code to activate the game then presumably it will not activate prior to the 24th even if you were lucky enough to have the game delivered early, right?
