Standard measurements/Farenhight?
I've been watching alot of gameplay over youtube and live streamers. But i have not knoticed any use of the Standard system of weights and measurements. Currently i've only seen the Metric system being used.

Will the release of this game include temperature in farenhight?

And then the latter proceeded to spend trillions on war.

The grand majority of the of the developed, industrial world (which is where this game hopes to find its customers) uses the metric system, with degrees celcius.
ALL of the world's scientists and military personel use kilometers and degrees celcius.

Poland also uses metric and degrees celcius, which is where the development studio is located.

There's no indication yet, nor any reason I can see, why the devs would feel the desire to include Fahrenheit as the measure of temperature.

That said, I don't think it'd be very hard to implement for those stuck in the past...

Yes, and guess which unit of measurement is used by NASA?

The moon is in Celsius and Kilometers baby!

I couldnt find it specifically saying celsius or fahrenheit in any of the screenshots. I just see a number of degrees.

Problem is that Farenheit and Celcius don't interchange neatly. -20 fahrenheit is actually -28 degrees celcius, which is quite a bit more frosty.

What does "quite a bit more frosty" mean? The temperature you've cited is the lowest temperature the human body can register. Anything below that is just going to kill you more quickly, it won't feel any different.

It's the killing you more quickly, innit?

Finding out what the game considers "comfortable" is people's biggest hint about the current temperature units used. If comfortable is 21 degrees, than the game is in celsius.

Yep, they switched in 1990 we haven't been back to the moon since 8(. https://www.space.com/3332-nasa-finally-metric.html

Now that you mention it, we haven’t cured cancer, reached world peace or invented flying cars either!

Eek gad you might be right! And to think we were just one degree Fahrenheit away from it! I stand corrected sir! I was off by a 1,609 kilometres!
Cvelus Nov 23, 2017 @ 7:59am
Ferenheit: 0: really cold outside - 100:really hot outside
Celsius: 0: fairly cold outside - 100: dead
Kelvin: 0: dead - 100: dead

It is all conspiracy, those damn non-US guys and their neat units of measurment, using fun to convert innocent gamers! Call Liberia and Burma, they need to hear this and be warned! :P

Or we can see this as a nice small, fun and interactive step toward getting US not to be afraid and accepting metric in the long run.

You actually answered your own question. The standard system for weights and measurments is the metric system. Have a good day

Standard depends on where you live.

Many of my friends from around the world never refer to that as "standard" it’s always Metric. The United States and some of its territories just happened to name it Standard.

But honestly I would love to hear a response from someone in development or planning on this topic. I'm sure they plan to sell this game to the American market. This topic has been near the top of the discussion board for a week now with no response on the matter.

The developers are either too busy or have decided not go on the forums for awhile as there isn't awhole lot they need to answer.

This War of Mine did have the old imperial system, so i'm pretty sure Frostpunk will have it, too.
for those who dont know, fahrenheit is based on weather 0F is about the coldest day of the year in amsterdam and 100F is about the hottest day. this makes interpreting weather very easy, which everybody needs to know the weather to dess right but i dont need the boiling point of water like ever.
