Frostpunk is now available on macOS!

Greetings, Citizens!

We know a lot of you were waiting for this one. We know we took our sweet time with it but the wait is finally over: Frostpunk is out now for macOS and is available on both the Mac App Store and Steam! This much-anticipated macOS version of the game is also available as Frostpunk: Complete Edition, which includes all three expansions.

Alongside its release on macOS, three expansions are available now as well. Two of the expansions broaden the lore and story of the Frostpunk universe and one adds new features to the game:

• The Last Autumn serves as a prequel story, set before New London’s rise told in the base game.
  
• On The Edge continues the story where the original Frostpunk ended.
  
• The Rifts adds a new endless mode map and a new constructible structure - The Bridge.

Q and E dont rotate the building though, only the camera. Ive tried every key on my board and none of them rotate the buildings. Also looked through the settings and there's no option to either change the setting or bind it. I've had this issue from day one when using the a windows laptop to play this, and never gotten a response as to when a rebind option would be added

Not sure what happened overnight, the game was running fine on MacOS yesterday. Now it shuts itself down unexpectedly whenever I try to load or start a new game. It still shows the loading page and all.

I'm sorry you have encountered such issues in Fortpunk. We will, of course, look into them but please, if possible, send those reports to our support site preferably with your PC specifications. It will greatly help us pinpointing the issues and fixing them for future patches.

I think the least you could do for macOS people who bought it 2 years ago is give old DLC free of charge or something like it. Not that anyone needs it anymore, but still show some good will and nice PR.

working average on my mac m1 with 8 gb, with High graphics, there is a slowness a little bit at start of each day but acceptable playable and enjoyable, one of the best strategy games

Will this run? I noticed no mention of my GPU in the required specs.

The 2019 MacBook Pros have Radeon Pro graphics cards in addition to the Intel one. The computer switches to the Radeon when necessary, but it's not shown under "About This Mac" if it's currently off. Instead, click the "System Report..." button on that screen, and select "Graphics/Displays" on the left. It'll list the type of Radeon GPU you have.

For what it's worth, my MacBook Pro has a Radeon Pro Vega 20, which isn't explicitly listed, but certainly runs the game.

Awesome thanks. Was not aware of that in all this time I have owned the computer. I have a Radeon Pro 560x with 4Gb VRAM. Will definitely, have to try the game now. :) I enjoyed playing this on PC in the past a couple years ago.

:edit: I purchased it on the Mac store and played it for a few hours today. Game runs smoothly, so for anyone else with similar specs as me wondering how well it will work, well it shouldn't have any issues!

So far only thing I would change is the ability to zoom in and out using the trackpad with 2 fingers moving closer or further apart like it works on web browsers would be amazing. Had to set zoom in and out to the + and - keys.
