Should I buy Frostpunk?
I'm thinking about buying this game. Is it worth buying it not or should I wait until it's on sale?
I had experience with games by "Paradox Interactive". Those games are often comlicated to learn and understand (for me at least) and they go on for a long time. Is Frostpunkt comparable to this? Many things to learn and it takes long to go from point A to B?
Plus, I heard the game often crashes. What with this?

I've not had any technical issues with the game whatsoever. In fact, for a launch version, I found the game remarkably well tuned and almost completely devoid of even cosmetic bugs.

The game isn't nearly as complicated as other games in the genre.

A single game can go for about 6-10 hours, which might seem a bit long, but it's easy to stop mid session and pick up where you left off.

On the other hand, after playing the three scenarios you've pretty much seen all the content, so it won't consume you until the end of time.

I'm very happy with it, and excited to see where it goes next.

And we're going to add more content like we did for This War of Mine =)

Alright.

As of now this game depending on your playstyle will be as short as 5-6 hours or as long as 30-60 hours.
+ visuals, atmosphere, selfimposed challenge possibilities(you can choose to limit yourself in some technology/ buildings for more challenge), roleplaying possibilities(different moral choices), enjoyable gameplay, (hard only if you don't know the mechanic). First playthrough feels awesome.
- possible technical problems, bugs, limited content.

I'm sorry ... but, how do you play the complete game in 5-6 hours? That's not possible. Ok, if you install the cheat program and run through, maybe. But this is not "playing". This is burning down the game, without any right to ask for more content (imho) ...sry

Does that mean then that you intend to release this extra content in the form of a series of DLC's as you did with TWOM?
If so, when would this begin?
Do you have a roadmap for a projected plan of release that you'd be willing to share?
Would these DLC's be similarly priced?

In the current state, I'd wait. Game lacks replay ability and content.

Once free updates keep rolling (promised by the Devs), the atmosphere is great and is a good game.

Also note that you can actually purchase the physical edition (that contains a steam code plus a physical disk and a artwork book) for pretty much the same price game has directly on steam in many countries. Check your Amazon/physical store.

Theoretically you can "burn" through it in 5-6 hours on x3. Anyway, I've even seen someone stating that he finish game in 3 hours... But I mentioned a more possible number of 5-6 hours. I have no problems believing that some people lose interest to the game in 5-6 hours. So... There's no point in arguing about this point. And I did say that you can enjoy the game longer than that ^_^

Have you had any ideas to add new scenarios in the future, where other countries are trying to survive, like the British Empire
(France and Germany together on the coal-rich territories of Europe)
(USA / Canada), (Russian Empire in the North / Siberia / Kamchatka, where there are geothermal energy sources) and other options.
And thank you for another great game !

The game is pretty good, but very short (10 ish hours)...if I didint have bought it before, I would just wait so I can play all its content when Im enyjoing it the most (at first time I play it). Bet like half the people that own the game wont play content added in patches.
