So this game is unplayable.
To bad, the 15 seconds of gameplay i got at the start made me really want to play this.
gotta go take care of this godawfull headache now. Kind of incredible someone in 2019 forgets to put in options for text sizes... in a game that relies heavily on text. Just, wow.
How is it "entitlement" that a very basic function which is available in low cost indie games, is not
in a major release?
And, if you care to enlighten me, how is it "entitlement" that a product which cost quite a large sum in my currency, does not work as it is supposed to?
If you buy a car, and the car stops working as you are driving out of the shop, is it then "entitlement" to complain to the seller?
I genuinely do not understand how it is "entitlement".
“I'm trying to play at 720p on a 32" TV and the font size is absolutely tiny. It's simply unreadable and there are no settings to change it. I'll revisit the game if they add text scaling, but until then, I can't recommend it.”
I missed the two week refund period so am stuck with it. Whenever I see the game on the store page, I pop back in here to see if the devs have fixed it.... but they haven’t even acknowledged it.
Instead of acting like that, had your reaction been more like, "Thats too bad. I have bad eyesight and wish they could add this feature in, Does anyone know their twitter account or another way I could request this feature? Also, thanks for looking in the game files an letting me know." then you may not get called entitled.
While you have poor eyesight and cant read the text, there is over 22,000 positive reviews for this game. Meaning at the very least, 22,000 people were able to play and read the game. I am one of these people luckily.
I do sympathize with you, I personally have a hard time reading text on my tv in games, and have to get off the couch just to read it. Luckily I dont have that problem on my pc monitor. Anyways, in the future, read your comments and think how it will come off to someone if your not interested in being called names etc. Take care.
You are right, i certainly could have phrased it much better, but my reaction was more surprise rather than disappointment.
My eyesight is fine, but i am using a 42 inch TV in my livingroom, with the couch quite close to the TV mind you. And this is so far the only game i have encountered this problem.
So yes, surprise, but of course, i could have phrased it better.
And while the game has good reviews, heck, i would still give it a good review based on just the intro and the first few seconds i managed, it is a good game, but even great games can be unplayable due to not being user friendly. So the good reviews are not a surprise, but the thousands upon thousands of posts on various forums, reddit, facebook, manger, pressfire, and twitter and here on steam, with complaints about tiny text, does show that despite the good reviews, there are few who get to play the game fully.
I've been having a lot of headaches lately because of reading detail in games, and I was thinking about buying this game, I never imagined I'd have this problem here.
Thanks to the author and everyone who reported the problem, I got rid of wasting time and more importantly, I got rid of having a big headache, literally hahaha
I don't even have bad eyesight but I also play on my living room TV and it's just absurdly small.
