The Care House is also a double-Hope boost: passing the law and building the house gives you a Hope boost, while there's a random event where someone leaves a thank-you note and boosts Hope slightly.
One slightly-cheaty thing to do is get Extended Shifts early, then maintain a whole bunch of them constantly, even if you don't need them. There's a request to not use Extended Shifts for 3 days, and it's fairly easy to trigger for a Hope boost (as long as you can afford to go without Extended Shift for that time).
PLAN PLAN PLAN!! Keep people alive, instead of drastic surgeries (or however that law is called) law, Child shelters, Child apprentices Engineer (prefferably, personally) Graveyards law, don't touch the soup or filler just hire more hunters, and build more Hothouses for food. care houses, complete citizen requests. with that alone i made it to day 10(yeah i know nothing special) with full hope and 0 disscontent. with only one death to an accident at the thumper. :/ which i think that too could of been avoided easily but i ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up somewhere..hm, :l anyways yeah. thats a way to do it.
oh i know i know XC awe smh :/
Anyway yes do not do what you have done. Don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys--or heavy industry jobs or really just read up a little on history to see why there are child labor laws in must civilized countries.
But really if someone loses all their children, they're ripe to work in the house of restoring content, so there's always that fork you can take if you manage to make it that far along. It's better if hope is lost if discontent goes down with it!
So really the key things are:
Don't promise what you have no hope to deliver
Don't do anything that would disappoint your mom
Don't do anything that would give you gas
Some can't be avoided if you want to use certain mechanics.
IE: House of Healing always results in one death, and so does the propaganda center. However, these don't count against you for achievement purposes.
