By no Patrol i mean not picking anything after Guard Stations.
Adaption: Fighting Arena, Public House, Moonshine, Emergency Shift, Extended Shifts, Child Shelters, Medical Helpers, Sustain Life, Overcrowding, Care House, Prosthetics, Cemetary, Ceremonial Funerals.
Order: Neighbourhood Watch, Morning Gathering, Guard Stations.
As for the Playstyle:
I never used Emergency Shift but did use plenty of Extended Shifts.
I ignored most of the pleas to build shelter so that should not have an impact either. (I was actually trying to get the Politician Achievement instead of golden Path)
All Missions I did get were completed successfully.
I found new Manchester in time and explored every single location escorting every single found survivor back to the city.
I mostly left the Londoners alone only trying to persuade them in the end using high hope so some still left.
I let the guards remove grafitty and searched for the food thieves.
The crimes that resulted from those investigations (beaten/killed guards) were left unpunished (the option was called “let the people handle them” or something like that)
When the cooks started to steal food before the storm i just let them do so without stationing guards.
I was lucky to not loose any scouting teams to neither the bears in front of some survivors nor to tesla city but i can’t imagine that losing somebody there would have mattered.
And that is everything i can remember right now.
And do yourself a favor and dont try for the achievement on survival mode.
Here's what i had when i got the achievement on A New Home:

Edit: I forgot one thing that might matter or might not: Near the end, the father that goes out to find his missing kid: let him go and give him provisions. A lot of people seem to think not letting him go is too heartless, and if you don't give him provisions they both will die.
No. I signed all of these laws and still got Golden Path.
Did you have any scripted deaths, like the guy from Winterhome or the murdered guard? Those ruined it for me the first time.
Agreed, all those laws are OK.
but... not having guards/faith keepers can make it easier to avoid certain events that can lead to violence and/or death, so best to not bother with them
Agreed, the scripted deaths result from
- events that you CANNOT foresee (frozen guy from winterhome appears out of nowhere and dies instantly)
- perfectly reasonable and golden-path-like choices (catching thieves, without doing any harm to them)
I got Golden Path by ignoring thievery and thereby angering my people. Doesn't sound like a golden path to me.
extended shifts are fine. I recently got the golden path/deathless on hard. Went full auto (20) and thumpers into mech infirmaries. Many things are actually fine to do, but just keep the order/faith laws to the safe ones.
Well to get to extended shifts you have to get emergency shifts though. I think when I got that achievement I skipped both emergency shifts and extended shifts. That definitely makes it harder but you can mostly catch up if you beeline for the automaton techs and put at least 1 automaton in a workshop so you have 24 hour research. I prefer 3 of them on workshops if I'm not doing emergency shifts or extendes shifts.
You can take emergency shifts, just don't use it. Same with Triage or any of the ones where the action is considered bad.
Personally I went with the child->medics and autodoc options. I also had 200% research rate which gave me more than enough to get through.
Did you bring back all scouts and outposts before the storm? I don't know if it matters but did you also make the morally correct choice for events like the one before the storm where they ask for a ton of wood. Let that father look for his child? Slowed down the automatons? Plus during the Londoners arc, you can use your guards against the thieves.
