I tried after 50, but first storm after 50 (around 57) is 100C and next is 120C
Even with population cap you will run out of ppl before day 100 with no generator

I honestly begin to believe that either those who unlocked it are extremely lucky and this achievo is super buggy (achievements being buggy in Frostpunk and This War of Mine is a common thing but not this bad) or they outright used SAM and the achievement is simply broken :/

I tried at all levels of difficulty and with the "Survival" mode. There is no result.
When you turn on the "rush" during construction, the skill is no longer disabled. Yes, the storm resets the percentage of construction to zero, but does not turn off the "rush".
A series of restarts of the save game showed that the malfunction of the "rush" does not change. Events occur regardless of time, the presence of a storm and the percentage of construction.
Accidents in factories (the fall of scaffolding, frostbite, death in the workplace from overwork) do not affect the result: Achievement is still unavailable.:frosted:

We no the achivment is available as there is evidence given earlyer of people being able to get how remains the question. On one site showing 4 in different days getting it. That was a few days ago could be more now.

That being said as the one that got that poped in here was using cheat engine it’s vary possible that is part of it. In which case can include that as not available as required to cheat to get than in which case would rather it get fixed. But do I no if that’s the case yet there might be something else missing. Not that I got any other ideas on what that could be. That being said would be interested in what was changed with cheat engine to see what it was as than might be reproducible without.

Hmm ... Do you think this achievement is intended solely to identify cheaters?
A funny assumption, but this is also quite possible. ))

It is quite possible that it only works for cheaters at this time but if so doubt it’s meant to be that way would be funny if it was but also annoying for compltionists.

Unlikely, we still would have seen far more than just 4 players (the 4th player that appeared recently actually has all the 20 dlc achievements unlocked at the same time stamp, also their previous achievements have this case all unlocked at same times ... SAM user)

Now how do we actually contact the devs about fixing the achievement ? or clarifying its requirements in case its description is missing a keypoint to unlock it ? don't see them active at all here

To get a hold of them post in bug report fourm or email them email a cm will give you a support number to show they received it but report fourm it’s made note of but early get a response. I did that 2nd day to a response they will look into it nothing since than.

I seriously doubt it. Developpers don't care much about achievements or cheaters, it's mostly an extra feature that has a commercial value. There was even one developper that made a silent auction for an achievement, the game was "Social Interaction Trainer". Steam didn't like it and forced him to change it or leave.

I personally believe the achievement is bugged, it took me five retries to get Arise Ye Workers, despite no change between each occurence it just wasn't unlocking. The same problem happened as well in "This War of Mine", as A.M.R. said too. Either the sixth event is not the correct one, either what is require to "tick" the achievement is not being ticked because of a bug.

There was a similar case in the last update of Plague Inc, one achievement was bugged and could not be unlocked (for the third time since it came out), the developer was contacted and they published an update two weeks later. I believe this is the same case here and in all likeliness the next update will have it working.

Hmm yeah it's starting to feel a bit random, like trying it again a few times might trigger a different circumstance that leads to the achievement registering. This actually leads me to a similar thought, I struggled like crazy trying to get the "Negotiator" achievement in this game. Took me SO many tries before I finally figured out that I had to balance my Hope and Discontent to not be too high -or- too low so that the right events would pop up.

I wonder if there's a Hope or Discontent link to what kind of damages your generator might get? Seems difficult to test in Endless mode though because there are no thresholds like in story mode.

amordron, the main thing is not to lose faith. ;-)

Yunocchi, I agree, the option of a possible mistake in the description is also not excluded. Frostpunk has already fixed such typos twice in a couple of weeks.

Madrigal, the only triggers that appear in construction mode in endless mode are associated with very high dissatisfaction, and very low hope. But their influence, as well as the influence of the levels "Underground Gas" was zero.

Definitely a bugged achievement; I think it has to do with the last 3 events, at least for me, *all* being "Haste makes waste". Most likely the "Haste makes waste" popup isn't triggering a variable or ticking a box to proceed to the next event, or is not coded properly.
Since Yunnochi was using a cheat engine, I'm wondering if that inadvertently hit whatever bugged trigger was malfunctioning in the game.
Yunnochi, if you still have the save that triggered the achievements, I'd be curious to know how many and what faults the generator had. So far I've only had the 6 that match those mentioned earlier in the thread.

Edit: For anyone curious, merely clicking the "rushed construction" button is enough to trigger events damaging the generator- even with 0 people working them, just leave the game on 3x speed and in a few seconds you'll get a message about the damage despite being 0 workers and 0% progress on a part.

haha is this still not fixed, how long's it been now. c'mon, frosty devs

I wouldn't be surprised if you are right Squidsy : after the reactor was done I checked the speedhack (20x speed) and tried to rush to day 100. And as I said before, it caused the game to crash around day 80-85 when the foreman was calling everyone to get to work. I have tried to reload the save again, but I am met with this message :

https://imgur.com/a/xVP64hX

(Trying yes will crash the game nonetheless)

I take there hasn't been any news from the developers yet ?

I uninstalled at 94/95 and am just watching this thread now or I'd check it myself.. but random thought, could it be something triggered from your choices in how you respond to random events? For example, when the people are throwing rocks into the pit at the beginning does yelling at them cause them to do something later that causes generator damage? Are those events even in Endless mode? Just a thought.

Endless Mode has no pit, instead the generator has blown and you need to clear its rubble before building the new one... the scenario events (the one you described is one of them) doesn't happen in endless as you should have noticed

Ah, that's right. Oh well, was a thought. I'm reaching here, out of ideas. And yeah, should have noticed, but didn't remember offhand. Thanks for confirming.. and raising the bar.
