So, if you accept the 50 workers from one of the other sites, they're ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and they incite your good, loyal workers to strike even when they're working short shifts in Safe Conditions (and I'm salty about it, but the double rations bribe wasn't a hardship for me to give out in my last game, so it didn't cause serious problems). I dunno about riots, though; I haven't had any of those.

Strikes you stop by never letting the strike bar get to lvl 3. accepting the 50 workers wont cause a strike so long as you keep the bar at a good level. Donno if it raised the bar or not but even if it did just use an active to reduce the bar and you wont get one.

High discontent raises strike rate fast keep it low and you wont have as many issues. Low safety is also another factor. The 50 workers I never seen cause a strike, if they did your level was high to start with. Safety and discontent are not the only things that cause higher strike bar as a note.

riots are stoped by having enough security outposts to handle them as it tells you on the outposts.

Exacpes are diffrent than riots. You need a prizon for convicts. They will show up as homeless even if you got enough tents for them if you don't got enough prizons they only hold 20 each.

If night comes when a convict is homeless they can escape.

My strike indicators were always at "no risk of strike" when these strikes occurred. I don't know if that was a bug, or what, but I'm inclined to think it was scripted given that there really were *zero* problems in the camp - my discontent was at or very close to zero at all times, motivation maxed, Safe working conditions, and the worker's council building in range of all the generator workplaces - and the event notification always said that the workers from the other site had incited the strike.

following things keep strike chance low / zero

- low to no discontent
- safe (!) work places
- normal / hearty meals
- normal / short shifts
- do not pick event options which increase strike chance

The trick is to procrastinate like true champ : P

Only complete each milestone at the last possible moment. You gain additional time by that to build up your infrastructure and stocpile people and ressources. The timer after each individual goal (bottom left corner of the screen) is set in stone. It's not influenced by how much time has actually passed since you started the settlement.

My first attempt went very poorly, because I tried to do stuff fast (like I was ordered to!) instead of procrastinating while building up an infrastructure in the very beginning.

There's a symbol in the mission-relevant buildings (bottom right) where you can see the strike probability. High safety and low discontent helps a lot. 24h shifts for fishing + extra meals + evening prayers + discontent lowering buildings is what I do. Safety is also important to avoid strikes. I still get one here and there, but I always just throw 100 food at them and be done with it.

But they still dont work by me. I just dont know what could be missing.

What does it say on the strike symbol before the strike goes off?

Well I did make no save games, so will start new game to check it out.

I just noticed that if you picked the worker's side, you can throw 100 food at them in the union building. It reduces strike chance by 2 for 2 days. Quite handy whenever events raise it too high (or you want to ignore safety).

Workers are lame to be honest, Engi boiz are obvious choice both for maxing their law book (WELCOME TO GULAG, COMRADE) or staying relatively good
