Restarted the game and still unable to move my scouts. This happened while the I had three scouts out, destroyed and immediately rebuilt my beacon.
additional yesterday wasnt able to dissolve the hunters after they getting back to home.
no may to do this.
In general it's a bad idea to move your beacon at all, but I understand not wanting to waste heating area on a building that doesn't need it. Put the beacon 11 steps from the hub on a road leading toward some critical resource. Using extra wood early is bad, but at least it won't be wasted.
One of the old scouts arrived at a new location while no beacon existed and I clicked on the notification to attempt to control it without a beacon, that might help with reproducing the error.
Unfortunately i can´t keep playing with that broken "savegame" and "autosave", cause half a dozen steam cores are on those scouts, stuck, forever. So at least i tried finding a way to at least "rescue" some of those played hours ...
... and i was (kinda) lucky.
The savegames are located under:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\<STEAMPROFILEID>\323190\remote\saves"
In there i found the broken savegame "Winterhome1.save" and the broken Autosave "autosave.save". The brilliant news is now, that there was another Autosave "autosave.save.alt".
Wonderful ! So it seems while creating a new autosave file the previous one does not get deleted/overwritten, but instead is just renamed (maybe just in case that the autosave may crash).
So i just deleted the broken "autosave.save" and then renamed the older Autosave "autosave.save.alt" => "autosave.save". When i now start the game again i can load this autosave and i have "only" lost 24 hours ingame time. Way better than loosing my whole progress. :-D
BTW:
The game only loads 1 autosave, so make sure to delete the "autosave.save" first or at least change the file extension to something else like "autosave.save.stuck". ;-)
Stay warm an comfy!
