How does the Fighting Arena work?
This is probably a noob question, but the description "People living near a Fighting Arena can find distraction in bloody spectacles" has me a bit confused. "Bloody distraction" makes me think it can reduce hope and/or worker efficiency, especially if fighting arenas have negative events tied to them. I completed all scenarios except Winterhome so far, building just one arena away from houses each time, and noticed no negatives so far, including no injuries occuring at arenas.

Are you supposed to have Fighting Arenas away from houses because they have negative side effects of some kind, or do arenas work the same way as houses of prayer, shrines, etc. where they take effect by having houses in their radius? If the latter's the case, a description closer to "The spectacles of Fighting Arenas provide excitement for people living near them" would be clearer. Even saying "distraction from their woes" instead of just "distraction" would be a bit clearer.

Better yet, the second possitive point could say "evening bouts will reduce discontent for those living near them" to better explain how they work.

Its your fault for not understanding them
they work likes houses of prayer they only have bad things that happen if you sign dueling law which makes it were they may kill or injure the other

Its entertainment. People like having entertainment close to their house. No idea why it doesnt matter where you place the public house though.

If you hold it in your cursor you will see that it has an area of effect, hold it near houses and you'll find that they light up. Build it and check your discontent info and you'll see a count on how many people gets lower discontent for living near a fighting pit.

The Fighting Pit is entirely a passive benefit. Sometime in the evening, after Work time has ended, people will go and either participate in the fights, or watch them. This reduces their Discontent. I have never had any negative reactions from the Fighting Pit.

Huh. Never knew that. But I've never taken Dueling Law, so that explains that pretty handily.

I don't think these affect eachother other than fighting pits being a precursor to dueling. Also I've never seen a note of anyone being injured or dead from the fighting pits.
that only happens for dueling law it says they may injure eachother from fighting sometimes but it also makes fighting pits give more happiness and less discontent
