im sure thats good as a workaround.. but at the same time do you want to keep destroying a prison everytime it incarcerates a sick guy? i have had this same problem happen.
You will see your citizens saying stuff like "why the criminals are walking on the street?" etc., but if you've done step 2 and 3 while pausing the game, discontent should stay the same. The sick dude will go receive care. If you click the prison for detail, you should see all the other prisoners' term reset to 4 days and the sick prisoner's remaining term becomes a dash, as he is actually hospitalized.
