The Hanged Man - Refugees Scenario

So... i played a bit of this scenario yesterday, and while scouting i eventually found this Hanged Man, he apparently left a present for the people who abandoned him etc, and and option offered me the choice of either 'burying him with his tools' or 'bury him but keep his tools' which is a steam core.

My first thought was to take the steam core cause they are super important, but his supposed 'present' made me second guess the decision.

My question is this... is the core boobytrapped or something? i haven't been able to survive long enough to be able to use most of the steam cores before discontent from soup and sick gets me overthrown XD

Nope, nothing happened. Same thing with another scouting place up north called the Iron Bank. Just take everything.

It's probably another RNG kill your scout party thing tbh, I just leave it, you start off with 4 Steam cores to take already.

i tried the option 4 times and nothing killed my scouts so .....*maybe* i got lucky but i bet you'll be safe. also there is always quick save
