Engineers better at cooking?
I know it says 4 food per 2 raw but I could swear that it seems like whenever I put engineers at the cookhouse they produce more food than workers.

Maybe, that's just conversion from raw to food, but you won't cook 10k raw food in one day.

Huh?

4 food per 2 raw is just the conversion ratio, you still have to do the actual cooking, you wouldn't instantly convert 10k raw food into 20k rations in a day, so it's possible engineers cook it faster.
But the management window should say if you're producing more food daily than workers.

Engineers are not more efficient than workers, it's the same.

Yeah I figured that out. Would've been cool though.. if they were both better at certain things. Like for workers beter at cooking, chopping wood, and gathering coal. Engineers better at working in the steel mills (forgot the name) and some other ♥♥♥♥. Maybe the coal thumper, but not actually gathering coal. Only for places that can be manned by both though. Exclusive buildings like hunter and medic tent don't offer that. Boom. IMPLEMENT THIS!

Was it maybe the soup law that made the food stretch further? I think if you pass the soup law after the cookhouse is built it automatically switches the output to soup. If you pass the law before building the cookhouse you have to manually select soup.
