Why would I bother making my tents a tiny bit better when I can wait all but 3 seconds for the wood/steel and straight up replace them with bunkhouses?
I didnt know that, then yes, that would be pointless lol. thanks guys
It's a massive win with industry building though as you will spend 1 steam core to upgrade rather than 2 to build a new more developed mine/hothouse/drill etc
Be aware that while upgrading the tent, people get homeless if you don't have enough other free tents. So before you start upgrading, I recommend building some extra bunkhouses and later remove/upgrade unused tents. If you are short of heated space, at least do the upgrade during worktime. If you do it during free time, homeless people get sick quickly.
Btw you can see the number of used tents/houses and vacant beds in the economy window. Very useful to check before a new group of people arrives ...
