A base building RTS with no 'Select All' option...why?
The title pretty much says it all, but I'll elaborate. I'm loving this game thus far and am a huge fan of 'This War of Mine'. Here's the but...but from someone who's been playing RTS games since the original StarCraft release and M.A.X (lesser known RTS of that time) and everything up to recent titles, it really urks me to find no 'Select All' option. Unless I'm just that oblivious and haven't figured it out yet...which it happens.

Early game it's not a huge deal, but as I just found out in late game it can be a HUGE pain in the Core. Specifically when it came to Steam Hubs and Gathering Posts. I was waiting for the storm to roll in and I was researching techs I passed up on prior to maxing out the tech trees. Well I went for the first Steam Hub upgrade. Now I have enough coal stored and in production to be able to weather the storm, but that switch to option 2 nearly cut my coal supplies in half.

So I figured I would go and bring all the Steam Hubs back down to level 1, since level 2 did nothing other than almost double my coal consumption...yea my crater is a full sprawling base. Needless to say switching them all off is quite a tedious and an unnecessary task (So much so it inspired me to raise the issue). The same can be applied to lets say 20 or so Gathering Posts I have for my Coal Thumpers. I have to go through every one individually to apply lets say a shift change or the Foreman buff. It is VERY tedious and it doesn't have to be. I'm not sure if this was a way to add "something to do" in the later stages when your resources are flowing or have to hunker down for a storm. But if that was the reasoning, then let's call it as it is...a very poor design choice. At 62 hours played and counting, it's already becoming VERY annoying...this is something that effects replayability overall.

I find it very strange and hard to believe a 'Select All' option was never thought of or discussed upon during development. Further more, why take such an option out of a BASE BUILDING AND MANAGEMENT RTS?

Because it is not RTS.

Other than scripted events, there's no fighting at all. It's a City Builder, not RTS.

you can move to the next of the same building wi th small left and fite arrows in the upper of the building pannal on thr near side.

RTS games don't need to contain fighting...you know what RTS stands for, correct? May wanna go check how Steam tags the game. Among others, I did see 'Real time with pause/ and 'Strategy' in there.

This sure isn't a turn based game. Regardless you're both focusing on semantics other than the issue here...

Thank you, that's a start...a select all option would be far sweeter though =)
