LOW FPS
POSTED ON APRIL 25, 2018

Anyone else having this issue? My rig should be able to play the game smoothly but at 140 population ad default settings (even after tweaking it) I get 30 and below FPS.

Should I reinstall the game? Or just wait for a fix? I also just install the latest driver as well. Still low fps

CPU: Ryzen 1700 3.8ghz
Card: GTX 1080, latest driver
RAM: 16gb, DDR4
Motherboard: AB-350
Resolution: 2560 x 1440

=====================================

edit: i was able to fix my fps problems by reinstalling windows.

Weird. I got an I7, 32gb ram and also an 1080 card, but just a 1080p monitor. Yet i managed to have 500 people and had no fps problems.

Do you have geforce experience? What fps does it say?
caelix Apr 25, 2018 @ 2:03am
1080 TI and i7 8700k here, only 30fps too

yeah no this game has problems with the 1080/1080 ti. most people with problems have those issues or that the game doesnt launch.

but in case you people havent checked make sure the option for fps limiting is off in the settings. its on by default.

i myself have the 1070 sc and have no problems at 500 people with my settings on the highest at everything

I5,
gtx 1060,
8gb RAM
installed on 120gb SSD

stable fps on max settings & high population (about 400 people)

got a very small stutter once or twice when it came closer to campaign end

would say absolute playable for me, no gamebreaking perfomance problems at all

I have a Ryzen 1700, 16GB RAM and a RX580 and I'm having performance issues aswell. Changing graphics settings hardly makes a difference and the game runs below 30FPS.
Hope that there is room for some improvements here!

I'm on solid 60FPS with everything maxed out (i5 6600, 16gb, 1080); but did notice some choppy gameplay (like it was constantly auto-saving or something) around the middle of the ice storm; 300~ people. But apart from that.. no other issues.

i7 6700K
GTX 1070 G1 SLI
16 gb ram 3600 mhz

But only 50 fps in 4K.

Far Cry 5 ultra 4 K run in 60 fps on this computer. But this little game can't do it. So, is it a trend to produce unfinished games ?

Yeah something isnt right then. People with 1060 and 1070 playing the game with 50-60 fps while I'm here with a 1080 playing at 27 -30 :(

You mean vsync? It is off for me. I don't see any other settings

Which is weird since i use a 1080 too. I am not realy a fan of mixing amd and nvidia components. That gave me just problems ages ago. Since then i stayed away from any amd product. ^^ Not sure how it is nowadays.

For those who don't have FPS issues and have an Nvidia video card, do you have an intel processor? I have 188 people now and my city is not even big but the low FPS is EXTREMELY noticeable it is hindering my enjoyment of the game.

I can turn on Geforce experience to see the FPS counter but i already have 30-37 FPS at the very start of the game. It might be at the 25~ range now with my Day 15-city. Can check when i get home.

At this rate i cant recommend the game as im sure the FPS will drop even more the higher my population becomes. It will be literally unplayable before i can finish the campaign.

Same issues here. On start of the scenario I have 25FPS and drop drastically down to 8FPS (after 2hours of playtime / maybe around 200 villager).

I'm also using a GTX1080ti and i7 7700k. Hopefully the devs find a solution for those high-spec issues :/

Same, sadly. Getting 60fps at start(GTX 1080, 1440p) at max settings, can't even keep 30 at late game with medium settings.
