Newbie question about streets
My very first frostpunk game, and I have trouble getting streets built.
I left-click and draw the green line to the destination.
On the screen it says something like "streets are being built".
I have enough wood and free workers, but some time later the game tells me the building is still not connected to a street and the street is NOT built.
Do I have to click somewhere else to START the streetbuilding process?

Sometimes construction just takes longer as workers may be busy building crap elsewhere or just taking their sweet time getting to the site. I've had some trouble where streets are built VERY close to each other but aren't actually connected. I've started building streets by placing the start point well on top of existing streets and/or the endpoint on existing streets (if applicable). I've had the same trouble with streets not connecting to buildings and the solution is basically the same, draw streets on top of streets. It doesn't cost anything unless a tiny gap is found.

You click to start, and click to end placement. Then wait for someone to get around to building it.

If you see a yellow overlay line over a street being built, it means the street is not connected to the inner part of your town. A small gap can easily cause this. All new streets must connect to the streets in the middle of town to count as connected.

Thanks for your answers. I understand that a little better now.
