Playing on Linux/Ubuntu
Hi everyone!

I used to have my laptop running Windows and had steam installed then. I changed for Linux (Ubuntu) and would like to play the games again from LucasArts which I see are in my games library (Loom, Indiana Jones).

When I try to click "install this game", it says that the game is not available on my platform however when I go in the store I see that the game is supposed to be on steamplay - shouldn't that mean that the game should be playable on any platform? Could it be that my purchase was for an earlier version that was not steamplay?

I wouldn't want to purchase the game again if it can't be installed on my platform anyway.

Thanks in advance for any tip!

I know this is not satisfying but maybe someone will be happy about it:
Works perfectly with WINE and the Steam Windows client under Linux.

(Alt+Enter for Fullscreen, Alt+S to change back to the crisp non-smooth graphics.)

You can also do sudo apt-get install scummvm (or what your package manager likes to hear) and play the game (so to say pseudo-native way) via Scummvm. Just add $HOME/.wine/drive_c/Program/ Files/Steam/steamapps/common/Indiana\ Jones\ and\ the\ Last\ Crusade/ to it. And launch it via the ScummVM GUI.

Considering this game is probably delivered with DOSbox why don't they make it available for Linux also.

GOG does have some of the other Indiana Jones games, but not this one.

Old LucasArts adventures in Steam don't use DOSBox or ScummVM - they use proprietary engine ported to Windows. But they still can be played in ScummVM, if you have the files from game folder. The problem is that without Wine you can't install them from Steam on Linux.
