How do i choose to play as black?

I see the option under regicide tab, 'white' next to difficulty but i cant select it. Clicking it doesnt do anything. I wanted to try play as black vs the a.i.

Can it only be selected vs a human? I thought the option to play as black vs a.i. had been added.

We're looking into it, though due to the way the game has been set up it's harder than you'd think.

Oml this is so sad. This was a fun version of chess to play, but considering I can't practice as black it really cripples the game as a chess game.
