Also, don't try to outrun it; it simply won't work. If it approached you, watch it closely. The moment it winds up for a melee attack, do a dash backwards, and it'll miss every time. Repeat this until you kill it, and it's basically a non-issue. The only time I struggle with it is when there's more threatening enemies that demand my attention, and I lose track of the Manspider.
Also, Ice basically makes it a joke. Hope these tips help.

i completed entire zone 1 on nightmare, they said tougher nightmare, but honestly it seems easier.
glass cannon is no longer limited to 10 shields and dual duel no longer hurts you when you miss, those duals do insane DPS, you can mow those spiders down faster than they can even react.
