Trying to understand
I never played any game from these DEVs and had someone recommend this to me. First thing i did was come to the community tab and see people in a uproar about a previous project that went under. Game looks fun but im trying to understand what the whining is about for this game.

From what I understand those other games where MP only and flopped so they made the devs didn't keep supporting a game that isn't bring in any money

Incorrect. They had a smash-hit success with Starsiege: Deadzone, but then they made a radical update that changed it from an extraction shooter to more of a rogue-like like this game claims to be. Then they mass-lost players, then said they were splitting their studio in two to develop "both games" --- they shutoff servers, said they'd be back online in a day or two after an update rollback, and then they went AWOL. Suddenly this 'game' comes out, but it's clearly not even a clone, it's just the exact same game rebranded, trying to fish for even more cash to grab.

Props to them for scamming without even half-baking a game first this time. Just using the same half-baked game from before.

expecting an extraction shooter to last long is naive.
