The respawn animation needs to go
I don't understand why I have to be stun locked to watch a gun animation. It serves no purpose. Remove the animation and let me move.

id suggest to give players an option,
1. no animation you can move right away
2. play the wakeup, and gun animation, but let us move/ stagger our way to the upgrade terminal
3. as is

i like the little wakeup animation, but being unable to move is alittle annoying, especialy at the start when im dying after the first 10 rooms and want to get right back into the shooting

That's cool, MedicareP. They could even make it unlockable.

1. You have to watch the animation, but only for the first 10 times you start playing the game.

and/or

2. After finishing the first mission, you unlock an option in the death locker room to turn it off or change it to a quick "slug" version.

3. Personally, I’d love them to add a resurrection voice quip contest and include tons of them in DLC. If they can get the VA to do it, great. Otherwise, subtitles work too if it's more cost-effective.
I'd rather just not see it again after the very first time. Kill your darlings, as they say.
It's like 5/10 seconds. I'm all for cutting down on unnecessary time wasted in games (Looting animations should always be optional in games where you do a ton of it.) but this seems nitpicky. The modern man has an instant gratification problem.
It's a feel-bad moment that doesn't need to be there, that's all.
Lots of choices aren't to everyone's tastes, that's fair. I actually rather like how he remembers there isn't a round chambered when he wakes up. IDK if it's meant to be muscle memory or what, but considering how light this game has been on story so far (Only on Zone 2), I liked the small touch.

That being said, letting you move while it plays would be the best option. I've only had like 6/7 runs, but I could see it getting annoying once I get to the higher difficulties and start dying alot.
