My thoughts
First things first, the game is phenomenal.

I played through it, and it took me a while to beat on normal because I’m just not a hardcore player, but I had fun the entire time.

There are just a few things I think the game needs.

1. A way to melee the final boss of the demo.
I managed to get through the game doing a melee build and it was SUPER fun (side note, a bunch of the endgame enemies don’t trigger going back into stealth when melee killing them, which is annoying) but when I got to the final boss, I couldn’t melee it, so I was stuck just slowly chopping away at it with my under-specced guns.

2. Fewer, but more distinct guns
In multiplayer games, it definitely makes sense to have a bunch of different shotguns that all shoot slightly differently, but I would argue that in this you only need 3, a regular pump, automatic, and slug, I don’t even know what the energy shotgun did differently. (Some explosive weapons would be fun too, maybe make them self damage as a slight balancing?)

3. Another melee weapon. The kunai is good, and is the fast “enemy got too close let me give it a quick stab to finish it off” weapon, the axe is a fun midrange slow but better damage, but I’d love to see something like a warhammer that slows the player, even when not in use, and swings even slower, but does like, double or triple the axe damage with more range.

Maybe even a shield were using your melee with it parries projectiles instead of regular damaging.

4. And this is just personal preference, but a way to throw melee weapons as a perk, or base ability. So you could throw it for say, 1.5-2x damage, but you’d have to run over and retrieve it, with either a perk, or sub perk, making it return to you, but deal less damage, or, say another perk that makes melee weapons more likely to drop, but thrown melee weapons deal 3x damage and shatter when thrown

Lastly, more distinct grenades. Say the fire one explodes into a pool of flame on the ground, the ice one has a massively increased AOE, and freezes enemies on direct hit, but slows less and damages less the further from the center enemies are, and the lighting one creates a sphere of shocking electricity


Overall though, even in its current state, I’m SUPER excited for the full release!

Yeah im having quite the blast with the demo myself and few friends :)
We all tried it, didnt know what to expect really but we came out pleasantly surprised , definitely gnna play some more of the demo, i feel like some weapons are VERY much underwhleming in comparison to some other counterparts, like Slug Shotgun being soo much weaker than other shotguns :O (cant recall names)
So I agree that weapons just gotta be more distinct ^^

When it comes to perks, i feel there needs to be more choice :O per each line maybe.

Meta Progression is too short/too fast to fill, at least for the demo that is the case :)
I have it more than half filled within an hr gametime :O which is pretty bad considering :D
While you dont want to sit there forever leveling up permanent perks, you also dont want to have everything unlocked and upgraded right away ^^
So id say slow down the progression a little and increase the ammount of upgrades, specially seeing how only area 1 can give challange enough even with maxed perks from PermaTree.
And given the fact that there is 4? areas in the full game.... there would definitely need to be more to progression system :)
Even at Area 4 , i feel like you should still be unlocking things as you play.

More Variety and Distinct Grenades, tbh id take a look at Borderlands and try get some ideas there! :) They get really creative with their weapons/nades ^^

Some more melee options i feel is a must have for melee builds , regards to both weapons and perks/abilities :)

Other than that , the game is a Blast! specially in coop! :D
