Odd, because I'd say needlessly throwing a way a bunch work, which would benefit no one, would be the real "scam."
they are just reusing the same ♥♥♥♥
BTW, how much money have you lost as a result of the "scam?" Perhaps we can setup a gofundme so you can financially recover
*Now, it is possible you did actually lose something, I believe some of their prior games did charge for "early access." But with any "early access" game you are taking a huge gamble the game will never been finished, be cancelled completely, or radically altered like this game. (Steam makes that risk insanely obvious when buying / playing E.A. titles.). Those fates seem to be the case with a vast majority of E.A. titles. Countless are still "in development" since 2010 yet haven't been updated since 2011. And spoiler alert....water is wet.

It's true that both TRIBES and Starsiege Deadzone struggled in the past, we wanted both games to succeed but unfortunately just couldn't retain enough players to keep supporting them at the level players want and keep the studio running financially. Multiplayer games are just really hard to make work, especially right now.
That is exactly why Deadzone Rogue will be a single player game (ideally with co-op as well) that has an up front cost to buy it. It will not be a free to play game where skins are the main thing being sold. We've also announced in the past that the full game of Deadzone: Rogue will be available for free to all players who made any paid purchase in Starsiege: Deadzone through Steam.
The demo for Deadzone Rogue will also stay free so players can try for themselves to see what the game is like. The game is not designed to have tons of live service updates (unless it's a total rocket), and it won't have major server costs to keep it running.
I'd also say, you can always give the demo a shot and see if you like it or not. If you play the game, it's pretty clear it's not a Tarkov clone. It's definitely set in the same world as Starsiege Deadzone, with a similar combat feel and aesthetic, but with a lot more rogue lite elements and PvE focus. We've been pretty up front about all that from the start, and think it makes sense to focus on what players liked in the past, but put a twist to make it fresh.
All the best, and sorry you had a bad experience with our past games. We're trying to do our best with this one to deliver a great experience, and unlike multiplayer queue times and match balancing are not an issue, so that should be a lot less dependent on how many people are online than in past games where that became a major challenge.

Scum studio, do not fall for this garbage again. They don't deserve your time and especially not your money which they will 100% run away with and drop support in early access. They do it every time. Let it die, they don't deserve success.
There is a demo and nothing to buy. The rest will be up to reviews when/if it launch in early access. Many of which will be bombs unrelated to the game such as this. In other words there is nothing to fall for and if anything, the bar is actually just being raised higher.
"Copy pasted response lmao" lol, how would you feel if someone asked you the exact same question 500 times that had the exact same answer? get a grip of yourself mate - read it and get over yourself.
I won't, because you're not only another unmemorable little whiner, but you seem like the type who finds more fun in complaining about games rather than playing them. If it blows, it blows. I've spent more on worse. But hey, that's what I get for trying to treat you like an adult.
Thanks, I will. Enjoy being an elitist stick in the mud who struggles to read anything more than a paragraph.
So you're a bot or just an absolute child right? Yeah what a tough ride it's been. Seeing at least TWO WHOLE VIDEOGAMES come out and fail. Considering Deadzone was F2P and Tribes 3 died before I even had a chance to buy it, I think I'm in the clear bud. Bear your tiny cross elsewhere.
