Male Character Models?
I don't mind either way, but did anyone see any male character models in the trailer?

Awesome, thank you for the prompt response! I'm excited for the game!
But why male models?

Good to see that they are going to eventually introduce male models but the irony. In many games they stick to, or introduce the male model first and when someone asks about the female model (that is myself), or someone else. I'm immediately told by many other forum goers that there are other important elements that should be introduced first. IE game play mechanics, in game items, textures, etc. Or people just commonly remind me that it takes a long time to animate a male model, design clothing for the female model and so on.

That being said, I'm relieved to see a group of people developing a game who realize that even at the early stage one's character is something that deserves attention. After all this is our virtual representation. Now yes, I do realize many people will be happy to say, "Oh well you shouldn't care about what your avatar looks like... I'd be if all characters were ..." But not all people feel that way!

Also on this end, maybe I'm just a bit biased, but it is also awesome to see a female model in place before a male one, if only this once! ;D

Also hello fellow Glitch! (Always amused when I find another person with the name Glitch, or something pertaining to glitches xD)

I agree, yeah. I wouldn't expect to see the same response if the question pertained to female character models. Although, I do believe things are beginning to change. Even the Call of Duty franchise has taken the time and resources to integrate female player models in game. We're bound to see that trend become more apparent in the coming years. Female gamers are far more common now than they've ever been, developers are taking notice of that change.

Haha, it is interesting. We usually see male characters as the default player model. I suppose you'd have to ask the developers to figure out what influenced that minor difference. Curious.

It's a fairly common name on Steam; only a couple thousand profiles use it. Heh. Steam Level helps me stand out in the crowd, although I'm second in the listings. Your name is more unique. ;D

If I can't be a male I won't play it. Good to know your working on it. :)

I just want a face covering helmet, don't really care for the gender of who I play.

I'm absolutely loving the aesthetic Bossa Studios has chosen; beautiful character models.

Thank you for following up on this post! 'Worlds Adrift' is looking immensely promising.
