Future Wipes?

I played this game ages ago, back efore it was in early access, but i never bothered to buy it due to the wipes, i have no desire to pour my time into a game, if my progress is just going to be wiped down the line. I would really like to play, but im still waiting for the wipes to be over. Will i have to wait for the gaem to exit early access? i had heard that once it left beta there would be no more wipes, but i havnt seen any posts on teh topic for a hile.

The last time we wiped was back in October 2018. They're not as necessary as before and as we develop the backend tech we can be more granular with what we reset.

The next planned wipe is for Update 31 which is a way off yet.

Having not endured a wipe - how wipey is the wipe? Is it just ye ships n gubbins you’ve stashed, or characters and progression as well?

A new map would be nice actually, I would totally be fine with a "soft wipe" (keeping schematics, shipdesigns and knowledge).

Angus - all of the past wipes have been a full wipe of everything.

That said, they have stated they want tk make it so only ships/world is wiped... eventually

if i got to keep the tech id unlocked etc, that wouldnt be too bad, maybe if/when they change the trees to refund points earnt? having to start over from scratch is a game killer, i coula maybe go through that once and contiue, but after that id just have to stop playing.

That would be so good, not only at a wipe, to get a new chance in case you unlocked a branch completely, but didn´t get a rly good schematic.
